Apr. 5th, 2016 06:59 amJust the other day, I actually managed to get Marie back in the game in regards to Madoka. I sent her a copy of my outline, and she listed a few questions under each item, some of which expressed confusion over certain things. I replied that night with an email to clear certain things up, followed by another email the next morning suggesting she watch episode 10 of the anime, in hopes that we could continue to discuss things from there.
It's good to finally have some details to work with, although it would still help even more if I can get help from others whom I've shared the outline with. Right now, though, I'm feeling inclined to play one of my PSP games that I got last October. In fact, I've actually found myself thinking all this past week about my experiences from this whole past year playing other RPGs like Paper Mario, Dragon Warrior II, and Dragon Slayer: The Legend of Heroes. Games like these, to say nothing of what I've seen of Mother 4 so far, are exactly what fuel my inspiration for Lucky Star: Day of the Beehive... and it was exactly for that reason that I refrained from playing anything so far, since I would have liked not to waste a source of inspiration during a time when I specifically wanted a break from Lucky Star so badly that I couldn't bring myself to jot anything in my head down onto any of my documents. (I did end up busy doing other things for most of that week anyway.)
Now that I've finally gotten feedback from someone, I have managed yesterday to write something to my game mechanics file about enemy placement and what inspired those ideas, and I also have yet to add some things into the outline that Jake suggested after reading the current revision (I did save the convo). Seeing both another phase of the title image from Chelle and the sketch of Pia redrawn by Noxmoony also helps somewhat, as does where kymyit is so far with what I've commissioned her for.
From November 14, 2015:
[M]y point of playing Dragon Slayer: The Legend of Heroes is to turn off my focus on both Starbound and the Cibus series for the time being, so that I feel refreshed enough to ponder them after I bring them up with Brian and Marie during their next stay here and when we return home from our subsequent visit to Grandma Barbara's.
And we have similar plans for this month and next, so yeah, now probably is a good time to bust out The Legend of Heroes II(I): Prophecy of the Moonlight Witch.
