Apr. 9th, 2016 06:24 amMom and I recently bought a box of frozen yogurt pops that actually are frozen so hard I could barely taste them when I opened it up the other night. Last night, I tried letting one sit out for a short while after eating dinner, only to put it back in the freezer when Mom took a crumb cake with almonds and chocolate chips out of the oven. (I did see her baking something, but assumed she was making banana bread.)
Just moments later, Aunt Allison called, I picked up, and she at some point asked what Mom made for dinner, which was some roast chicken, rice, and peas. I continued with "and for dessert", only for Mom to cut me off and tell me that that cake was actually for today. I gave the phone to Mom not long afterwards, before taking that yogurt pop back out.
It wasn't that long before I actually opened it, but when I did, it was already starting to melt. Still solid enough to eat off the stick, but from now on, I should probably put one out before eating dinner to time and have right afterwards.
