Apr. 14th, 2016 06:29 amDad is going to have an operation performed on him, and could only eat certain kinds of foods such as jello and chicken broth yesterday. Mom saved herself the trouble of cooking for herself, and treated me to dinner at this place called The Village Idiot Pub.
Originally, she and I were going to eat out there on my birthday, but we had to cancel that due to illness. She planned on bringing both me and Dad out last Sunday for his birthday, after finding a Groupon online, and to be combined with mine, but had to cancel that because Dad fell sick again.
Anyway, I ordered a jumbo hot pretzel w/ some nacho cheese as an appetizer, and Mom had part of that. For our main courses, Mom got a cheese quesadilla, and I got a Healthy Italian wrap. And then, I ordered some deep-fried Twinkies w/ ice cream for dessert, which Mom also had part of.
