Here's something right up my alley, despite covering mostly 8-bit systems (as opposed to the 32-bit Playstation):

And, unrelated but still relevant:

Upon seeing "Buy one Now, $20", I decided to buy a physical copy for Brian, but the site turned out to have already sold out on everything. Was lucky enough to find a copy on Ebay.

Having found that, I googled to see if there were any such guides for Mother 1. Someone known on both Earthbound Central and Starmen.net as LucasTizma did attempt to scanlate the original one years ago, but I'm not sure if he ever finished the job, and the page where his work was originally hosted is now gone.

I did come across a YouTube review of the actual guide, and after some consideration and shopping around for the rest of the day, I thought it might still be unique enough to shell a few more bucks for. Like the M3 guide, this was also the last one available anywhere accessible for me. (I tried looking around on Yahoo Japan, but couldn't create an account there due to a requirement of something I can't get, and the few different auctions I actually looked at do not ship internationally. Couldn't find any guides for the game on Amazon, either its American or Japanese branch.)

(Brian did ask me the other day to help him create a rough draft for Day of the Beehive's player's guide, and while Earthbound is still the only game in its series that he's very familiar with, it's still only one of three games with all different aesthetics, and so is its guide. I do understand, though, that Mother 3's official guide is much more generic than the fanmade one I found, as I had also seen of half the other player's guides for M1 (though one other has a b-shot of the church in Snowman). I'm thinking it might be worthwhile, once I read both of them for myself, to give them to him to also look through before he and anyone else involved decide on some aesthetics for the DotB guide.)

Not expecting they will, but if either guide manages to get here before Sunday, that would be great in order for me to pass the time on our way to New Jersey.

Mom told me last night that Brian isn't gonna be able to stay over with us next week. Just sent him an email this morning asking if I could go stay with him, considering how much I've got to cover with him, but that hopefully should not be a problem. In the meantime, I will make a point today of printing out Starbound chapters 4 and 5, along with the outline and Birthday of Destiny.
