May. 8th, 2016 07:52 amCousin David and his girlfriend Jessica came over to visit yesterday. From what she told me while we all chatted for a bit, Jessica's cousin was getting married somewhere around here.
Mom told me when I mentioned forgetting the last time David ever came here, that it was probably when Marie was born. I was four that year, so he was obviously around eight at the time.
After our initial conversation, Dad showed them the new catboat that he had started in 2008, and then Mom made them some Reuben sandwiches for lunch after showing me some stuff that needs to get done around the yard. I didn't spend that much time with them, but David did thank me for a birthday card I had recently sent him before leaving.
In any case, I'll be sure to mention this to Grandma Barbara whenever she calls, along with wishing her a happy Mother's Day.
