Sep. 2nd, 2016 08:05 amJust joined this new Madoka forum called The Witch's Labyrinth, which I found by looking for a forum on deviantArt. Tried to post something that included more than a few hyperlinks, but it turns out that new members cannot link to outside stuff for one week after joining.

There is a forum on AnimeSuki for Puella Magi Madoka Magica, but new threads there need to be requested for the staff to create. That was one of the first few places I sought a translation for The Hollow Little Mermaid, or at least information about its exclusive characters, but to no avail.
Anyway, what I've just tried to ask had to do with the anime's art styles, for both regular characters and Witches. Asked Chelle last night if she knew anything about it, and... okay, having already re-read what I wrote to her, I should've kept it simpler and asked her if she could identify anything just offhand, rather than actually trying to figure it out. She couldn't, but keeping it to just that would've still likely come off better.
In any case, while it would be nice if I could find someone on deviantArt capable of emulating the anime's main style like in these pics of Hitomi and Yuma, it is true that trying to emulate any pre-established art style isn't exactly easy to begin with. Admittedly, kymyit has come closer to it with the girls all big and fat than Noxmoony with them depicted normally, but Nox's closest style to it was still a good first step towards being able to picture anyone as they'd appear in the main anime, especially since kymyit had abandoned her attempt at the same image right when she came around.
If I can find anyone capable of either Ume Aoki or Gendikan InuCurry's drawing style at some point, I might just commission them for character cards and scene redraws. Right now, though, Nox is in charge of assimilating all the different Puellae Magi throughout the franchise before kymyit redraws each of them as Cibi, and when the latter finishes her current assignment, she will then be in charge of the HLM four, Mami and Nagisa together, and redrawing this pic of Kyoko and Yuma (will decide which next then). I will only assign others to her once Nox has them assimilated first, so that their Cibus designs also assimilate with those of the main five rather than deriving directly from their canonical designs. That's what matters the most right now; total assimilation can wait.
