Nov. 18th, 2016 05:57 amGot one of my posters yesterday, along with a second one co-packaged. The person I bought from accidentally ripped the one I ordered just slightly, and offered me his other one. I declined, but his decision to send me a freebie anyway has turned out for the better.
While the one I ordered features a splash image of Batman Returns on one side, the other one has other stuff I remember from before. At the time, without paying close attention to it, I thought I was looking at just more Game Gear games, even though the Genesis and accompanying Menacer were right there in the middle, with the Sega CD across the bottom. (The other poster is what showcases SCD games, alongside those for the other two systems, each with its own of three columns.) It is possible, though, that I knew what I was actually looking at, and just misremembered over time, but I do recall certain phrases in the blurbs for Ex-Mutants ("the evil Sluggo"), Toxic Crusaders ("slimy polluters"), and Jester ("saw him in half, shoot him out of a cannon, throw him in lava," along with that creepy face at the bottom). (Between both posters, specific titles I recall included Clutch Hitter, Streets of Rage 2, and Night Trap.)
In any case, there are only two slight differences between the Game Gear games showcased in the posters I got. In the top-right-most corner is either Streets of Rage or David Robinson's Supreme Court Basketball. The bottom-right-most game in both posters is Evander Holyfield's "Real Deal" Boxing, but the BR poster has a photographic image of Holyfield himself in place of a screenshot.
