Dec. 31st, 2016 04:24 amSo, I've started an email exchange with Brian about the HLM four yesterday, and might also contact Alice again if the need arises. However, even though things seem rather promising with Brian, I could not help but wonder all day why not one person between Chelle and Brian proved capable of having the kind of in-depth, back-and-forth discussion I used to have with the latter. Like, you'd think there'd be plenty of others with her same capabilities out there, but Christina is too busy with life to help me, the kind of help Marie offered was actually style-oriented, BHS bailed right out upon discovering what the Cibus project is really about, Qinlongfei became unresponsive during one of my exchanges with him, Noxmoony and kymyit already took forever with what they've completed so far, and Alice's attempts to discuss the flaws I originally planned to iron out just seemed kinda simplistic and half-hearted, compared to what I would've expected from Chelle.
Then again, that's not even how things started out with her. My relationship with her all began in November 2007 with me randomly checking out one of her Mon Colle Knights pics on deviantArt, noticing something in its description that I commented on, inviting her to this blog, and discussing the possibility of eventually uploading MCK to YouTube. I had no idea she was even reading this blog afterwards until she eventually commented the following September on something I said about Count Collection and showed me some critiques she drew up of what I had up on dA at the time. From there, she'd leave comments about other things every now and then, I would also begin reading her blog as well, and I eventually started giving her stuff to critique because I thought she liked doing that as my friend. The reasons should be obvious why I never brought up Parasitic Trio, but our first major story discussion took place in July '10 regarding part I of Monster Collection Chronicles (I even apologized for having cost her a personal deadline with something of her own when she mentioned that on her blog), and around the following Thanksgiving was the time I actually wrote something (i.e. the story's prologue) to show her, which I would discuss several more times since before eventually hosting it in August '11. The rest is history.
Even though I did talk about this whole thing with Mom in the car last night before hitting the gym, it only occurred to me before I went to bed that I still had the option of browsing FanFiction's beta-reader archive. Only been there five years ago, when things seemed headed downhill again between me and Jake regarding Parasitic Trio.
(Jake has also told me that he will pay for Chibi-Usa's pic himself, and mainly wanted me to talk to Meguru-sama about the details, since deviantArt often does not load for him.)
