Feb. 25th, 2017 05:12 amAs it turns out, you actually do need to have unlocked the Tiny Chao Garden. Downloading it onto an empty Game Boy Advance only lets you clone the Chao you want to drop off for until you either pick it up or turn the GBA off.
With that, I've already started playing Sonic Advance 2, and just managed to unlock the characters. Gonna alternate between characters, even though they all get separate sets of Chaos Emeralds to collect, and getting all of them with at least one should net me enough time for Jake's situation to clear up. If he decides when I ask him that he is finally able to write a chapter, I might return to Adventure for however long he expects to take to rewrite May's chapter.
