Mar. 11th, 2019 06:13 amYesterday, having only two items left on my to-do list for before my birthday next Saturday, I figured I might as well take a break from everything and treat myself to Food Fantasy for a bit.
Installing the game went smoothly enough, but opening it made me wait through multiple download cycles before I contacted someone on Google Play, who told me my phone lacks sufficient memory. I then tried downloading a few apps to delete some of the factory-installed stuff that takes up the bulk of its space, before asking Brian to help me with that when he's home after it required me to "root" my phone, which I failed to do. He told me that rooting one's phone is actually pretty difficult and probably wouldn't make any difference either, and suggested I factory-reset it instead.
I tried later to re-install the game and let it open itself while I take a nap, and within an hour, it actually worked. I barely got to actually play the game, though, because Mom and I went to the gym, and it was already 6 when we got back home, at which point, I simply looked into re-installing my wallpaper and ringtone. (Would have chosen someone and something else, maybe Arisa Narumi, but nothing came to mind regarding a ringtone, and I don't feel like having any of those generic pre-installed ones.)
(Also, when I did start things up, the game did ask me to select a home region, but while recommending Light Kingdom specifically is one thing, there was no option at all for Sakurajima, even though Gloriville was also there. Brought this up through the game's Facebook page, and someone got back to me just a few hours before I woke up this morning.)

On the plus side, Mom and I have started watching my Earthbound playthrough, something I proposed in order to show her what kind of story I am trying to build with Starbound.
