Feb. 12th, 2023 07:16 amTwo days ago was our last day down in Florida. I waited until now to post, because my parents, Marie, and Drew all had to leave well before dawn, and I did not want to write up a rushed entry the previous night after dinner.
During the daytime, Drew drove me, Mom, and Marie to another wildlife refuge called Pelican Island, where we walked quite a lengthy trail and spotted all kinds of wildlife, including tiny little grey crabs easily mistakeable for bugs.
Later on, I finally landed an opportunity to treat Marie and Drew, who were simply doing a crossword puzzle together, to episode 5 of How Heavy are the Dumbbells You Lift?, which we agreed upon in one of our hottub sessions, when one of us mentioned how dangerous it is to sit in there for too long, something that comes up in relation to a sauna.
Soon thereafter, I went with Mom to another grocery store somewhere around, in order to get a bottle of chocolate syrup (for milkshakes) and a cake (for Drew's belated birthday). Looked at first at a few regular cakes, but Mom and I eventually got two small rectangular cakes, one tiramisu and one black forest cake.
Mom did get lost coming back from an unfamiliar store, but it didn't take long to find our way back.
Rob's friend Justin and his wife in turn Sue also came over for dinner.

Yesterday during our aforementioned drive to the airport, we stopped at a gas station, and I took then to use the restroom there. Mom asked me not to look around for anything to buy, since we were in some kind of hurry, and mistook me for doing just that when I was actually reporting an empty soap dispenser (same as at the gym often enough; good thing I only had to piss). Cleared it up after Dad also called me out back in the car, and he commended me for what he described as good citizenship.
Upon finding our waiting seats after already seeing Marie and Drew off, Dad went to grab some coffee at Starbucks, and I decided to look around for an early lunch, in lieu of a sandwich Mom had packed for each of us. Got an asiago bagel with cream cheese, a cup of fruit salad, and some coffee. Mom told me it's a good thing I decided to buy lunch, because she had accidentally put American cheese on my sandwich. (Suffice to say, she had gone on to eat it upon discovering her mistake.)
Not much happened during the actual flight back home, aside from me reading volume 1 of Comic Party (from Savers; v. 5 of Tokyo Mew Mew was what I read coming down, and nothing all week in-between). Nor did much happen back home either.

Online, someone on ROMhacking.net cleared the actual issue up to be about people claiming others' work as their own; the policy in question still allows stuff to be posted that the original author gives such permission or is no longer around to decide either way, while still urging hackers to be open to bug reports.

Obviously, that still says nothing about commissions, and I will need to test waters with Earthbound (still getting the first honor). If those are banned, I might have to ask whoever completes a given hack in the end to host it for me.
