Feb. 10th, 2023 06:07 amMom and I walked half a mile to a small museum specializing in the disaster that Uncle Robby specified the other day. We had a brief look around, and then agreed to invite the others today, both there and to another museum somewhere around here.
Upon leaving, we walked another mile down the street, before coming back. At one point, we decided to dip our feet in the river, but that turned out not to be such a hot idea, having to climb down some barnacle-covered rocks to get down there.
The two of us took a dip in the swimming pool together when we got back. Mom suggested I retrieve these few pool noodles from the shed, and went on to show me different ways to use them.
-----
Had another swim with Marie and Drew last night, after our first of two dips in the hottub, and Mom joined us there as well. Marie relayed a question I had brought up with her, about why we were going to Connecticut next summer for Grandpa Bob's funeral, but I must have confused that and its planned activities with an already planned vacation in the North Fork. Mom explained that we are actually going to Fire Island to spread Grandpa's ashes, and what the actual situation was, before Brian and Emily came out to greet us and recline.
We all went back to the hottub, and while Emily is pregnant (expecting next month; I was told earlier not to mention it) and cannot use it in full, she did decide just to dip her feet in. Brian declined even to do that, though.
