Feb. 9th, 2023 05:59 amA couple of days ago, it occurred to me that, before I start any randomization playthroughs, I should first take some footage of what I'm actually going to use for selection for different parts of each game, so that viewers know what I'm counting off of whenever I stop to decide something and have to recite whichever numbers come up.
Naturally, that would include my iPad for some games, whose wallpaper currently depicts the protagonists of Release the Spyce. My desktop computer already has one of Lucky Star, which should do well to represent my main project for the future, so I think the iPad would do well to depict my other core favorite series, Puella Magi Madoka Magica.
Having not had this on my phone for a while, the first image to come to mind was a certain swimsuit pic (not fat this time; mentioning since Mom and Marie already saw that version). Then I figured that that might creep some viewers out, but I'm still in the mood for it, so before everyone else woke up yesterday morning, I decided to make it my new laptop wallpaper instead, and spent some amount of time tinkering with it so that even the girls' feet can be seen in full above the menu bar.
Decided afterwards to revert back to my current image, of Kyoko and Homura as cheerleaders, and apply the swimsuit pic to my iPad when we're back home, just for until it's time to start recording one of my playthroughs.
Here they are, along with Madoka (w/ much longer hair than usual; Ultimate Madoka?), Mami, and a link to the rest of the collection:

Anyway, while I was at it, I decided also to change the wallpaper on my phone, to something of Homura hugging Madoka:
( They're both fully clothed, but the image involves Homura doing... something intimate. )
This then led me to change my ringtone, which had been the first opening theme of New Game! to go with a promotion image of that show. And what better song right now than Sweet Dreams.
Even though it was already a hassle last time, I figured I might be able to figure out easier this time how to import ringtones from a PC to my phone. No such luck, but Mom eventually came to me, I told her what was going on, and she told me she had just installed a new ringtone to her phone recently, before bringing me into the main house. Neither Brian nor she afterwards was able to help me out, and it was already 11:15 by the time we took a break from it.
All I did at that point was look up some proper instructions, find some for an app called GarageBand that I suddenly remembered using before, and start downloading that and another app before the two of us headed out to Publix.

Now that Dad and I have consumed a box of Cap'n Crunch over these first few days that someone either left or brought here, I looked around at other cereals. Since either Berry Berry Kix or Kix in general (can't remember which) isn't sold in California, I ended up getting a large box of Honey Kix, a flavor I had never seen before, since Mom asked me to get something that the other kids would actually eat.

After going through some more instructions when we arrived back, I finally pulled it off with a PC app called iMazing.
Reported it to everyone individually who was having breakfast when I had come into the main house.

Posted that pic to Discord and asked something about it. Can't remember whether it was there or on Reddit that someone posted it originally, but someone there muted me immediately, and I apologized to her almost immediately. She accepted it, told me I could continue posting in an hour, and even commented on my userpic (the same other one I have here of Kagami Hiiragi). I told her which episode and scene it's from.
Since I go by the name Economy there, it wasn't long before someone joked that what happened would be bad for the economy.
Went to The Hentai Reserve to ask what I had previously asked in the /r/MadokaMagica, and specified back in rMM, along with what the pic itself was, for those who asked what I posted that got removed.

Mom and I took a stroll down the street in the afternoon. Not much to report about that, but Emily was asleep, Brian, Marie, and Drew were out sailing with Uncle Robby, and frankly, that super-long boat ride from the day before should be enough sailing for me for this whole trip.

Played that song on YouTube for everyone in the evening while Marie, Drew, and Emily were helping Mom with dinner (Brian was watching TV with Dad and Uncle Robby).
Then I discovered that I am not able to turn autoplay off for playlists anymore. Looked into that after dinner, when I headed into the main house, but was never able to find any up-to-date instructions before complaining to YouTube itself. (Also brought it up on Reddit this morning; two previous attempts there were blocked due to something unrelated going on at the time.)

In other news, someone in charge of ROMhacking.net has announced a policy yesterday against posting hacks that you did not create or even contribute to personally. I would have liked to have whatever ROMhacks I can commission for in full compiled all in one place, but along with having had a topic locked on me before for mentioning having commissioned someone for some work (due to the legal grey area that money brings to that field), part of the reason, along with maintaining a functional community, has to do with making sure whoever did create a given hack is available to sort out any issues someone might come across.

Honestly, I can't blame anyone for having enacted this. However, since that site is not going to be my platform for anything I even can commission for, that would be all the more reason instead to link to each hack individually from their respective game's walkthrough and playthrough, the latter where I would actually showcase them.
Not only that, but one of the reasons I relayed here, that I wouldn't be able to debug anything, and would be lucky if any of the original hackers are still around for that, is something I haven't considered before. Obviously, I cannot be the last one after any game's actual hackers to test their work out before posting it anywhere at all; I am going to have to look into how to find and appoint beta testers once I ensure personally that all changes I want are in place, in case there are any bugs even I or any of my contractors fail to pick up on, and I will be sure to bring that up on NGPlus, where someone mentioned that before.
