Sep. 30th, 2023 06:33 amMy replacement PC came two days ago.
Hooked the original one up to wipe my data off of it, but the process kept getting interrupted by that BSoD from before, and I gave up at some point.
Hooked the new one up, and it lingered on the startup screen before going blue-screen.
Decided from there until Mom would come home, to conduct all my online activities on my laptop.
-----
Having decided to leave Kanon to rest at episode 18, I showed Aunt Marie an episode of Lucky Star instead. She didn't like it for being all over the place with its events instead of telling an actual story.
-----
Brought Mom up to the apartment to show her what went wrong when she arrived home. The previous time, it said "Restarting your computer" before going blue. This time, it actually went directly to resetting it, and we turned the monitor off at 10%.
Went on to show Marie two consecutive episodes of Nekopara (mostly self-contained stories), and the computer reached 57% after she left, and then 97% after I had a nap, allowing me to wipe its data clean upon finishing.
Today, we are going to invest in another used PC that Brian specifically recommended when I showed him and Drew some supposedly new microcomputers I had previously shown Mom. We will look into a new one if there are any problems even with that one.
