Dec. 2nd, 2023 05:08 amSomeone on Discord recommended a couple more settings changes to apply to RMG. Sure enough, most of the lag was gone when I tested them, with just some trepidation during a minigame.
The creator herself, meanwhile, helped me to confirm that my current desktop really is too old to run the emulator, lacking the type of graphics card it requires. Given how cheap a computer I had sought in the first place, this does not surprise me, how old it would have to be to lack such a component as is probably standard at this point; if I run into problems with other games, I would hope to have a new job by then to look into buying a more up-to-date machine.
Now that that's settled, though, I will probably host my real first playthrough on the 4th, what was probably the release date specified on such a primary source as the game's website.
Will also be sure to specify all settings changes to date to Rosalie, and it would be even better if she can help me smooth the mini-games the rest of the way out.

Mom has been feeling much better lately, and I proposed watching more of Fate/Kaleid Liner Prisma Illya for the first time in several weeks just yesterday.
We tucked into an episode in the afternoon, but early on, the disk started skipping. Mom suggested I wipe it down before we assume it's damaged.
Right after booting it back up, I managed to rewind it, but suddenly couldn't resume it. Mom asked if maybe the batteries had run dry, and opening the lid revealed that they had actually exploded. She took it down to have a look at on her own timing, and I went up to power the player off manually.
