Feb. 8th, 2024 04:56 amThis is not the first time Jeyson has told me to stick to the righthand cart bay while he manage the left one, until I told him that I was in charge mainly of finding stragglers, some of which just so happened to be close enough to the building just to bring inside.
Two days ago, though, he came up to me to relay a message that even the higher-ups want me strictly on the righthand premises.
Mentioned that that evening while Dad and Brian asked me about work. Brian told me that even he rationalizes that to coworkers when he really just wants not to have to deal with someone. That left me wondering why a supervisor or manager would use him as some sort of puppet, when Cecilia had already called me out twice in person for taking too long to eat lunch.
Just yesterday, though, another supervisor, Christine, confronted me early on about a lack of carts I had been bringing in from the parking lot. I managed to sort things out with her, specifying for example that I had been lately bringing most of them to the corrals instead of directly to the store. Mid-discussion, though, she confirmed that she did in fact want me focused on the right side of the store.

This took longer than I expected, but I sort of managed to test Affonso's work. As in, I managed to recreate the basic circumstances from scratch under which that sales bug manifests. I had over a dozen cups of Lemon Tea on the menu, which was indicated to start boring the customers, and nine other dishes listed.
In practice, the game actually worked properly on its own, with no one buying any more of it while other dishes did sell. However, Affonso chalked that case up to both lower seasonal popularity and having not played far enough for the bug to manifest.
I declined his suggestion to play any further on, though. While other things I'd want modified first are fairly trivial, I do still have Earthbound to get back to, and even before that (especially with Marie and Aunt Marie occupying the apartment since coming over last night), I would like to take advantage of everyone's time here and do stuff with them. (For that reason, I will not be reposting to Upwork either, although I won't leave anyone on hold either who contacts me.)
(Barring a method I found online to reset the game's data completely, the next time I start that version over, I will need to open the bar for one more day first, mainly so that my extra jewel for each week is set back to after Earth Day.)
