Mar. 31st, 2024 06:04 amYesterday after coming down to the house, I managed to dig up a roll of tape in one of the drawers in the dining room, and brought that to the window sill near the front door. Mom must not have noticed me putting it there in the first place, because it was gone when I checked back, and I asked her if she put it somewhere. She specified that it's actually sticky on both sides, and also asked what I was using it for.
After a bit of communication, she actually suggested putting my index card under DeShawn's windshield wiper, same as when you damage someone's car and need to leave some contact information.

Last Thursday was rainy, and I had off the next day. Coming home from work Thursday, Mom gave me a drying rack to hang my rain gear and vest up.
Yesterday, even though Mom was driving me to work and should have noticed where it was, I only realized right upon getting started at work that I had forgotten my vest at home. Actually, that happened a previous time recently, but at some point, Jeyson gave me a spare vest, which I had since kept in my locker.
This time, after getting said spare, I also went to Doreen's office (she wasn't in) to request a spare badge. Even though Rich was said to have quit, someone was in there who looked like him, and I addressed him as "Rich". This led to some confusion, and I told him I thought he was the male manager, which he initially interpreted as "mail manager" until I specified Doreen as the female manager. I then asked for his actual name, and he showed me his badge, which specified Juan along with his actual job title as a coach.
(That reminded me, the other day, I noticed Robert's badge while updating the lefthand cart bay in lieu of anyone else there at the moment, and turned that over to customer service, letting him know when I next crossed paths with him. Later the same day, someone noticed mine having fallen off somewhere, and let me know to check the cart pusher where he left it.)

Ever since those two "freebie" incidents, Mom had always asked me upon picking me up if I found anything interesting in the carts to return to customer service.
After having dropped me off at the side-entrance near auto care (the one closest to the lockers and break room), Mom had to go park in the main parking lot to do some shopping. We crossed paths just as I was bringing in a cart with some candy in it.
Customer service rejected those few things, and since they were still sealed, I decided to go put them in my locker to bring home. (Had a white "mystery-flavored" Airhead when we got home; the other two things were a gummy taco and some gummy sushi.)

Having thought during work to check when I'd be home, it turns out that while a dual HD remaster of Suikoden I and II still don't have a release date announced, a remake of Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door has been slated for May 23 this year. That might be an even better time then to resume posting for ROMhacks, when I can add that game to the list, along with Pokemon (up through gen IV; long story) and a few games that never saw any action (already mentioned Super Mario RPG, and Trails in the Sky is also amongst those).
Vadim, meanwhile, has finally finished that recompilation program. He gave me an archive resembling that generated by CoilSnake for Earthbound, but the instructions he gave me on how to recompile Earthbound Zero confused me, and he agreed at my request to create a video demonstration on that.

Marie has come over for a few days; Mom had to go pick her up at the airport last night, although I had already gone to bed shortly after she headed out.
After a bit of communication, she actually suggested putting my index card under DeShawn's windshield wiper, same as when you damage someone's car and need to leave some contact information.
