Aug. 6th, 2024 06:16 amBrian took me to Riverhead yesterday to meet his friend Tom.
The three of us ate lunch out at this place called Jamesport Farm Brewery, where there was also a food truck stationed under the brand Grillin' Villain that Mom and I had spotted before. After the three of us went inside the brewery for our first visit, Brian and Tom went to the truck to order some beer, but I stayed behind to look at a copy of its menu.
Decided upon The Gambino, which is this sandwich containing roast beef, cheddar cheese, bacon, and barbecue sauce, and awaited that at the truck before catching up with them at the wooden picnic table they chose inside one of several greenhouses there. Upon finishing up, I went back into the brewery to order a small tub of swizzled s'more ice cream. Despite my experience before with swizzled cake, that ice cream actually didn't taste half bad.
Brian soon ordered a plate of quesadillas for himself, and he and Tom went to sit down on some lawn chairs lined up somewhere. Seeing the beers they still had, I decided to grab a drink for myself, and ordered a JAM'N Red Sangria. Started feeling drowsy before I managed to finish that just a sip at a time, and Brian and I went home shortly thereafter.

Although I haven't been checking ROMhacking.net that often lately, I found out on YouTube just last night that most of its operations will be coming to an end.

Brought it up with Ozzy on Discord, who specified his plan to wait until some other site becomes its definitive successor. I honestly can't blame him, given the flack some of the sites already suggested on a forum thread have gotten on just its first page.
As for me, I'll have to see where some kind of consensus lies once I have the ROMhack finished and debugged, and have actual time to play it through. (I do plan on advertising it through YouTube, even before I post my walkthrough that will contain links to it.)
