Jan. 8th, 2025 07:30 amBrian wanted to bring Maris to the playground in Bellport yesterday, so as to let her burn off some energy in order to put her to sleep. Mom and I went with him, and we decided to hit the nearby library first.
The others spent most of that visit in the children's section, but I looked around at DVDs, and got ChäoS;HEAd and Welcome to the NHK. (I only have one more week left with Hidive, so Mom and I should be able to watch one or both of those afterwards.)
We decided upon leaving that it was too cold and windy for the playground, and went back home from there.

Upon arriving back home, Brian put on Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind for 19 minutes. I joined him and Maris, but then Maris wanted to watch Little Bear.
We later watched episode 4 of Release the Spyce. Maris spent most of its duration playing with stuff from under the kitchen sink, and then with her actual toys scattered in the porch, but did see parts of the episode, including the end of the fight at the end. Brian clearly did not mind her seeing people beating eachother up, asking her "Wanna see some action?" while helping her up onto his knee.

Mom and I later watched s2e4 of K-On!, and once again, Yamanaka's hair appeared almost maroon despite having appeared its proper brown on Google Images while I was writing my previous entry to this one.
After it ended, I checked the episode on my laptop, and then pulled it back up on the TV for comparison. Brian saw from in the kitchen what I was doing, and told me that such differences in coloration are to be expected due to calibration on a TV screen. (Should probably google at some point, how to get the colors to display correctly.)
I went on to suggest if maybe I find Ritsu's shade of brown slightly less attractive because of her actual personality. (Would I find the same shade normally attractive on anyone else?)

Shortly before we all went to bed, I saw Emily in Marie's room reading Maris this book called Don't Let the Pidgeon Drive the Bus. Came in to watch her read, and told her about another book in the series I had seen at Barnes & Noble, called Don't Let the Pidgeon Drive the Sleigh, which I gave a personal read there.
Maris then walked over and pulled down volume 1 of my To Heart manga, from where Mom would soon mention having placed that upon retrieving from the closet ever since I gave her that series to read. I took it away from her and brought it into the living room (that's where she mentioned), and Maris followed me, crying for it back. I stated concerns to Mom and Emily that she might bend or rip something, but Emily told me she doesn't usually do that (I did see her rip up some kind of patron-issued flyer at Lucia before, not to mention after getting it all wet with water from Brian's glass). Mom offered to keep an eye on her, but then she walked back into Marie's room, and I was the first to follow her. She actually took only a few seconds to get bored of simply looking at it (as an object, of course), and Mom suggested I put it on her bedside cabinet to either continue or start over reading.
