Jan. 12th, 2025 06:32 amMom said no to moving the TVs around, originally saying she likes the bigger TV down here. Having never noticed a size difference, I measured that one to roughly 49x29 inches.
Showed Brian and Emily s1e5 of K-On! after they came down (realized later that I had skipped over 4).
Went on to measure the apartment TV, smaller by 5 inches each way, and also compared Saga's hair color between that TV and the DVD case; already a slight difference there, but the weather was cloudy and I was pointing a flashlight at the case, since none of the regular lights reach the TV brightly enough. Brought the Blu-ray player downstairs, but that one proved incompatible with the house TV, so I brought down the regular player, whose disk tray is hit and miss when trying to open it either with the remote or on the player itself, and tends to close right back after opening. (Suffice to say, that player might be on its way out.)
Managed regardless to pull a particular shot up on both the TV (via both DVD and Hidive) and on my laptop (via Hidive), and Saga's hair has a hint of red on both TV platforms. Did some more comparisons upstairs after Brian and Emily left, comparing both YouTube and Hidive on my laptop to DVD on that TV, and while both platforms on my laptop are identical, there is still just a slight difference even on that TV.
Reported my findings to Mom when she drove me to work. During discussion, she told me that right now, she has more important things to look into moving around, and seemed to give me permission to bring the issue up another day.
