Jan. 2nd, 2026 06:05 amFor New Year's yesterday, Mom made me a couple of pancakes with white chocolate chips at my suggestion. The big bag we normally take chocolate chips from was gone from the basement pantry, but I did find a small bag each of milk and white chocolate.

Marie had mailed me a Far Side calendar to take a picture each day of, coming off from that Today I Learned calendar from last year. At first, I sent yesterday's picture to this group called The Clan, which includes Aunt Marie, but Mom later relayed it to Uguu Blue: Lemonade Crew where Drew is, specifying to me that Aunt Marie would not be that interested in a newspaper comic.

For Christmas a week late, Mom brought me up a new body pillow she had been keeping in the basement, that feels a lot softer still than the one I bought last year.
