Jan. 17th, 2026 04:42 amTurned to PeoplePerHour two days ago for help with those two glitches back on YouTube. One such person even agreed with my need for my thumbnails to feel like me even if I'm already getting steady traffic.
chrisnft_ also asked to help out when I updated him on Discord, claiming to have dealt with this kind of thing before. Unlike some people I've only just met and gave only viewing permission on my channel, I gave him managerial permission at his request, having successfully assigned him enough unrelated work these past two years to trust that he would not abuse my channel for his own purposes.
He went on to set my new main video back to Public, and suggested we give its thumbnail a few hours to refresh. He also found the thumbnail to display correctly on a mobile device, even in search results, and I found it to display correctly in "brunette girls appeal" as a search suggestion (still wrong in the actual result on PC and TV). (I have found it this morning to display correctly in suggestions on a video page, which was also the case in my bug video's description when I tried pulling that up on my TV the other day.)
The next day, he assured me that it should need a total of 72 hours to actually refresh; that must be the interval at which YouTube refreshes its entire cache.
He also discovered the other two auto-generated thumbnails available through the aforementioned mobile device. One of them was just myself talking, which would've been preferable, but the other was of the four Earthbound NPCs I specifically left blonde, which would have outright contradicted the title.

As far as my first Getter Love!! video goes, several different people back on PPH have diagnosed that issue as a backend glitch, and drafted up some writeups to send to the feedback team, that are not as likely to be dismissed as a general problem on my end.

At this point, the video has already regained traction. My subscriber count dipped a little since I last marked that down, and now it's at 138, after having already climbed back up to 133.
My watch hours have also been marked on my Earn page once and for all, totaling at 138. Still a drop in the bucket compared to 3,000 required for monetization, but this raises hopes for future videos.

Mom brought my phone to work yesterday, and managed to power it back on at some point.
She suggested when she came home, though, that I not keep it plugged in at all times, and that I just leave it on even when I go to bed, at least until we come home from Marie and Drew's.

Mom and I watched the last few episodes of what turned out just to be season 1 of Tower of God. Even though season 2 is readily available on Crunchyroll, I decided that was enough for the evening, and have decided this morning to switch gears and finish off K-ON!! on Hidive (subscribing there for a month primarily to show Drew more of Sugar, once I show him and Marie that new video).

Mom shared those deer pictures on Clan, and asked why we supposedly don't see bucks at the beach. Aunt Marie specified that they actually tend to shed their antlers in the winter, and regrow them in the spring. (Still doesn't explain the lack thereof in the summer.)
