Jan. 22nd, 2026 03:54 amMom set her GPS to direct her to what was supposed to be long term parking at JFK Airport. While still nearby, it instead directed her to this private parking lot called Long Term Parking, inc., and she had a slight hassle getting to what was actually an air train station from there. (We still made it a good few minutes before our train arrived to bring us to the actual airport.)

Took our flight to read The Week all the way through (I did read a few pages the other day), before taking turns with Mom to fill in the crossword. (Some space still remains blank, and we decided to let Marie and Drew in on it once we bring it over.)
Also finished part I of Magical Girl Raising Project: Breakdown just an hour before we landed (on Mom's ipad that she suggested during that phone situation, where Dad used to read stuff on Kindle; bigger than said phone itself).

Marie met us inside the airport we arrived at.
During the ride to our airBNB (a different one from four years ago), Marie mentioned having quit Ideo after seeing her boss and a number of colleagues quit under a new CEO. Mom kiddingly asked of all three of us kids are having breakdowns, with Brian having recently quit Google shortly before I quit Walmart three months ago.
We also saw a few people gathered somewhere, wearing high-visibility vests and carrying signs protesting the ongoing rise of fascism. Marie commented how annoying it is, valid as their point may be.

Marie and Drew are currently having their roof renovated, and it's been stressing out their older cat Mac, such that she would hide behind the couch.
Soon as we came inside, I got to see their new, smaller cat Ruby that they had gotten recently, and picked her right up. Marie guided me on how to handle her correctly.

Following dinner, I showed Marie and Drew my new main video. After it ended, Drew decided to check out my actual channel, and asked me why I call myself Economy. I asked to pull the relevant blog entry up on his phone, and Mom suggested I grab hers instead that was on the dining table. He and Marie had a read, followed by Mom, who suggested I share it on Signal. I posted it to the original Uguu Crew, where I was included originally before being removed to focus on my job (re-including me was the purpose of Uguu Blue: Lemonade Crew, proposed days earlier).
They decided to check out out my status update clip, and Marie and Mom called me out on announcing where we were going, something Marie reminded me even Dad had discouraged before. (Mom spoke to me about it again just this morning, along with how unprofessional such an impromptu video looks (admittedly, I did want to get it over with just to take a nap afterwards), and I went on to delete it before continuing this entry.)

At one point, Mom mentioned having meant to bring these tubes of Korean coffee mix that Emily introduced to us some months ago (first mentioned here). Should list those to bring next time we come over.
Marie drove me and Mom to a nearby grocery store called Safeway for some stuff, before driving us back to the airBNB.
