May. 9th, 2026 05:49 amFound a few individual items that Nick and Tiffany added to what's still by the curb. One of them, a hanging picture of some flowers, even had "Big Brothers Big Sisters", a program related to Savers, written on the back, so I don't see why they aren't returning most of what they have.

Brian has cancelled his visit here, because Emily wants to come next month for her father Bill's birthday. He was originally going to come for Mother's Day and Cousin Adam's college graduation both taking place this coming week, but Mom told him not to come just because he feels obliged. (Mom even told him that she's fine if she herself doesn't get a ticket for Adam's graduation ceremony, having been to plenty of those throughout life.)

Mom had a doctor's appointment at 3 yesterday, and came home shortly after 4. We decided just to order a pizza, in order for her to skip having to cook a normal dinner.

Mom and I dropped The Sacred Blacksmith six episodes in yesterday. I started to show her Hyperdimension Neptunia: The Animation, but she found it way too fanservicey even compared to other shows we've seen before, and we didn't even finish the first episode.
The only two library series I still have out were simply to give myself the option. One of them is Shakugan no Shana, one of several I dropped back in 2014 for my issues at the time with male-bashing, and I later decided that I'm not interested in the idea of someone disappearing even in photographs or other depictions when people forget they ever existed. The other is Nakaimo! My Little Sister is Among Them, which I already showed her before (she did have me fast-forward through a few scenes there).
And frankly, having already crossed paths with Magical Meow Meow Taruto recently, I think I'm more interested in starting over with that on Tubi. (I did reassure Mom that that show isn't so over-the-top like Nekopara, which I stopped showing her after one episode.)
