Regigigas... Regigigas... Regigigas...

As of right now concerning Pokemon Emerald, I am currently at the Shoal Cave, waiting to collect three more Shell Bells. However, in this game, the Shoal Salt and Shoal Shells have only been regenerating once a day. It was pretty random in Ruby, but in Sapphire, I was able to collect two Shell Bells each day. Until I have a total of six Shell Bells, I can't continue with the game, which means that it will most likely be Thursday this week when I move on.
Needless to say, this is such a fucking drag. I *did* have plenty of reading to do to hold me over, though, but I also had some stuff to write for a group project, which I took care of today but felt too guilty to be doing anything else before then...aside from watching some stuff on YouTube.
Making things even more unbearable is the fact that I have to wait almost a whole nother month before I can finally download Regigigas at Toys 'R' Us. In fact, it still has yet to be announced on Pokemon.com, which means that I can't find out about any further events yet to take place in America. I did ask Mom to buy Pokemon Platinum for my birthday next month, but I'm not actually gonna be playing the game until next Christmas when I can get a Nintendo DS-i. That way, I'll be able to ensure that I can trade Shaymin and Regigigas from my own copy of Pearl onto Platinum, a considerable amount of time will have passed for some event Pokemon and items to be distributed, I'll be able to focus on developing my Pokemon ficseries, and I can even relive the nolstalgic days of when I was playing Pearl back in January 2008.
Speaking of Pokemon events, don't you think it's ironic that it's been almost two years since Diamond and Pearl have been released, and we *still* don't have any of the 4th-gen event items necessary for accessing secret parts of the game(s)? (That's right, I previously missed *two* opportunities to download Darkrai last summer before I found out about the Deoxys event, but that was just Darkrai itself, not the Member Card which is required to find the in-game Darkrai.) Actually, it's even more ironic that until Platinum had been released in Japan--which was last September--even Japanese players got no such opportunity. I already had mentioned before that the Platinum-exclusive Secret Key and the aforementioned Member Card had already been distributed there, but I've recently found out that Oak's Letter is due for wi-fi distribution there as well this Spring, so now all that's left there is the Azure Flute.
No guarantees. We American players are at least lucky that we'll get to legitimately see Shaymin's Sky Forme and visit Iceberg Ruins, Rock Peak Ruins, and Iron Ruins. But if three of the four event-only items for Gen IV have already been released or announced in Japan--this much later after their respective release of Diamond and Pearl--then there might actually be hope for us as well to get the cool shit, without using a GameShark or Action Replay!
