Yesterday was the day that me, Mom, and Marie went to New York City. On the way there, I told Mom and Marie that I might take some time to have someone help me transfer the two starter Pokemon from my fake Pokemon games onto my real Pokemon Pearl copy. However, Mom suggested that I leave my counterfeits in the car when we get to the Nintendo World Store, so as to avoid potentially being arrested as a bootlegger. (She did say that such risk of that wasn't present so much at Toys 'R' Us.)

So, we got to the place, waited in line for roughly an hour to get into the Store. As it turns out, there wasn't anything to download there. However, me and Marie did stick around anyway to buy Pokemon Platinum and a player's guide. (Mom had Marie pay for it with her own debit card, and previously agreed to transfer however much it cost back into her account.)

So anyway, after my business there was finished, Mom and Marie looked for a place to eat out. While driving around, Mom got pulled over because her inspection sticker expired. As it turns out, she does have an appointment tomorrow to get the car inspected, and the officer let her go with some slip of paper, with which to show to anyone else who stops her.

It didn't take too long for us to find this fast food... restaurant, called Good Burger: Home of the Good Burger. Funny, that there would be an actual restaurant called that in real life, although no one behind the counter said "Welcome to Good Burger, Home of the Good Burger, can I take your order?" I do remember Mom taking me, Brian, and Marie out to see the movie Good Burger during the summer of 1997 (my summer between 5th and 6th grades). Me and the other then-kids also used to watch All That (which always featured the "Good Burger" skits) among other shows on Nickelodeon. (That, of course, was years before my anti-Nickelodeon phase started... which I should also mention that I've gotten past that phase a number of years ago.)

Anyway, I ordered a crispy chicken burger, and shortly after we ordered, I also got a brownie (my equivalent to the fries that Mom and Marie had). The chicken in that burger didn't taste very good, although putting ketchup on it did help so as to not burn my mouth. The brownie was okay, though it didn't taste like I expected. Tasted more like coffee than chocolate, actually.

Last stop before heading home: Marie's dorm. I had to help Mom and Marie take down Marie's bunk bed and convert it into a regular bed. Not much worth noting after that, or for that matter, on the way home.

To top it all off, I got refunded for my fake copy of Pokemon Pearl (which cost $10), without even having to send it back. The seller of Pokemon Diamond did offer to buy it back, but I'm gonna have to talk about that with Mom, considering how expensive she said mailing overseas is. In the meantime, I might also send the two games to Nintendo repair services in hopes of getting genuine replacements.
