Oct. 31st, 2005 05:43 amYesterday, several hours before work, I read more of Ash's Revenge, along with City of Lust, the first Galaxy Angel fic ever posted on AdultFanFiction. (Good thing the American cartoons were previously separated from anime.) I did manage not to have much of an erection, though. Some pop-up that said "Hit the skeleton and win a free PS3" came up, and in this case, you were supposed to throw a pumpkin at the skeleton. I thought it was pretty funny, and showed it to Mom. She then noticed where I was, and suggested that I get off for the time being, and I took her word for it that I might only increase my chances of having a cramp by continuing to read Ash's Revenge.
I then read the comics. In the first Lockhorns cartoon, Leroy, Loretta, one of Loretta's friends, and the unnamed hot babe are at a Halloween party. The chick is dressed up as a catgirl, and Leroy is dancing with her (as usual), dressed up as a cowboy and wearing a goofy smile. "Leroy considers our marriage vows as semantics," says Loretta. I showed that one to Mom, and she suggested that I cut that one out and keep it.
I then watched an episode of Boston Public, now that Marie was off the TV. Marla found a student sitting in a corner in the hallway, shivering, and had had to get her to a hospital. It turns out to be stress, and Principal Harper talks to Marylin and Lauren about pushing their students too hard. Another girl files a complaint that Meredith hit her. There is no proof that she actually did so, but in the end, Vice Principal Guber fires her anyway, seeing that she's had a history of violence towards her son. Finally, Ronnie comes into a locker room to find someone shooting photos of a girl who wants to become a supermodel. At first, the girl is suspended, but her parents come in and threaten to sue the school if her suspension isn't lifted. Harper brings the girl back into school, seeing that the word "explicit" never was defined specifically. Ronnie talks to the girl, trying to talk her out of making a self-destructive decision, but she only insists that she isn't good at anything and refuses her advice to discover what she's good at.
After the episode ended, I looked for that episode where Lipshultz claims that he's the reincarnation of George Washington. That was one of the funniest episodes in a show that was meant to be mostly serious, and Mom also said she liked that episode, which is why I've been saving that one in particular. After letting her know where it was, she told me that Grandma Ella was coming over, and we could all watch it with her.
After Mom picked me up from work, she had to go to Sam's Club to buy a pumpkin, but it turned out that there were none there, so she had to go to the Pumpkin Patch to find one. When we came home, I saw Marie in the front yard playing croquet, but there was no one else playing with her. Mom asked me if I would play with her. After I showered off, I asked Marie whether she still wanted to play or she was done. She said the latter, and I started playing Digimon World 3 once again.
Later on, Grandma turned on HGTV, and there was this show called "Growing Giants," where today, people were growing giant pumpkins. The show was featuring this boat race where people paint different designs on their pumpkins and use them as kayaks. One of them was painted pink and had a pig face on the front, but unfortunately, that one had a leak in the bottom. Another one was painted silver and had the word "PIG" behind a prohibited-circle. After it ended, something else came on which held everyone's interests, so we ended up not watching Boston at all.
Meanwhile, Mom had baked an apple crumble with pecans, and Grandma brought another lemon roll, this time without any icing. Also, while I continued to play DW3, Dad and Marie had already cut the pumpkin open and put a face into it. We turned out all the lights in anticipation to seeing the Pumpkin Man, in which Dad would light the inside and walk outside with it, and then raise it up to the kitchen window. Marie brought her little ratty to see the show, but when the Pumpkin Man showed its face, Marie let out a good shriek. After that, Grandma said bye to all of us and left.
