Two entries from Co7G today:
September 19, 1998 (Saturday)
This morning, I was playing Yoshi’s Island on the SNES TV in the basement. As usual, minutes after I started playing, the TV messed up, so I stopped playing and sat on the outside basement steps, bored.
Later, Mom took me and Marie to a couple of stores to find a TV cleaner, but we didn’t find one. After we left, she took Marie to someone’s house on a different neighborhood.
When we got home, Brian and Craig were playing Diddy Kong Racing, and they were just going back and forth shooting rockets at eachother. Mom’s like “Okay, I want you to win in a reasonable way, and then let Eric hook up the Super NES.” They just raced to the finish, and then Brian’s like “Fine! Play your hopeless game.” They went outside for a few minutes while I got the Super NES started. Before, Brian thought the Super NES wouldn’t work on the living room TV, but it did. When they came in, I’m like “I toldya it would—“
“I KNOW!!!” Brian shouted.
Soon, Craig was like “Try going off the end.”
I’m like “It’ll fall off.”
He’s like “Duh! Try falling with it.”
I ignored him and kept playing.
Tonight, Craig slept over, and Mom decided to let Brian and Craig sleep in the trailer. They went out to the trailer, but I asked Dad if I could play some more Nintendo before going out to the trailer, but he was watching something. A few minutes later, he went out to see how they were doing, and they were misbehaving, so Dad told them to go back inside the house. I asked Dad a few times why they can’t sleep in the trailer, and he told me he wasn’t happy with how they were behaving in the trailer. I asked him to say what he said to them. He’s like “Okay, time to come back in.”
“Why didn’t you yell?” I asked him.
“I didn’t want to yell at Brian in front of Craig,” he told me.
September 20, 1998 (Sunday)
This morning, Craig had his Super Game Boy with Game Boy Camera. We looked at stamps, photos, and games. Brian took a picture of Marie, and then put a Mario nose on her.
“So I’m Mario?” she asked.
“No,” Brian said, “You just have a really fat nose.”
First game on our list: Super Mario Bros. 3, part of the Super Mario All Stars + Super Mario World compilation for the Super NES. However many Co7G entries I post tomorrow depends on how far I get in the game.
I forgot to mention that I received Diddy Kong Racing two days ago. I also received volume 1 of Lucky Star yesterday from Netflix, and watched the first episode. Wanna know what the highlight of that episode was?
The episode's ending theme. My favorite line was the katakanized line "Go, go, jet! Go, go, car!" (7:21), and second goes to the first line in the song ("Da da dadadada on Planet Dada", 6:51).
In the meantime, Mom had left home to visit Marie, and will be coming home most likely tomorrow.
