Chronicles of 7th Grade, week 9
Jun. 1st, 2009 05:47 amNot too much worth noting today, except for a trip to the Haunted Woods on Thursday.
October 26, 1998 (Monday)
This morning, Mom gave me a note to give to Mrs. B. about my knuckle. I started playing Super Mario World this morning, but I didn’t get very far before I left, so I turned it off. From now on, I’m gonna get up at 5:30 AM.
October 28, 1998 (Wednesday)
Today, after sixth period, Libby asked me “How do you like my baby [her backpack that looks like a lion]?” I was too shy to say anything. She’s like “You don’t like my baby?”
Tonight, we watched the Halloween episodes of Hey Arnold and Allen Strange. After watching them, I felt like adding a part to “A Bible School Story” where aliens invade and we fight them.
That part did not actually get added into the final version of that story. I'll talk more about that when I mark the day that I actually finished it.
October 29, 1998 (Thursday)
Before dinner tonight, we watched a few minutes of The Simpsons. I missed the Halloween episode of Oohhh Nooo, Mr. Bill Presents, but it’ll be on next year.
At that time, Ohhhh Noooo! Mr. Bill Presents had been a favorite show of mine, until it was moved to some other channel during January.
When Dad came inside, Marie found two plastic dinosaurs that we used to have, and Dad pretended that one of them was talking to us:
“We used to have these when Eric was little,” he said to all of us. Then he pretended the dinosaur was asking me “Do you wanna know what’s for dinner?”
“What?” I asked.
“It’s stew,” he answered.
“How come we have to have stew every Thursday?” I asked him.
He was talking normal again. “It’s because your mother’s at work, and it’s easy to make.”
After dinner, we went to the Halloween walk at the Yaphank Presbyterian Church. While we were there, I saw Danny, and I crossed the string to go up to him. I talked with him for a few minutes, and then I started dancing to the music, and then I came back to Dad and the other kids. Danny showed Brian how I was dancing.
Minutes later, Jason Chainsaw raised his saw and revved it. We saw him somewhere in the line behind us.
When we got home, me and the other kids watched the Halloween episodes of Cousin Skeeter, The Wild Thornberries, and CatDog.
