Only one entry of Co7G today. On that day, we had our cousins Dennis and Steven, Marie's then-friend Dana, and my friends Matthew and Joshua come over. This is also the only time that Joshua (whom I knew from Group at the time) ever came to visit us. (No lj-cut, because it's being saved for an entire section about Parasitic Trio, which will contain major spoilers.)

February 13, 1999 (Saturday)

Today, we had a lot of company over.

This morning, Cousins Dennis and Steven came over. We were all in my room playing Zelda 64. Later, Matthew and Josh from Group, and Marie’s friend Dana came over. We hooked the N64 onto the living room TV. Joshua had this Pikachu cyberpet. Brian, Dennis, and Steven were playing Zelda 64. Joshua was fooling around with Dana, and Mrs. Nadvordnik told him to stop. Dana’s like “I don’t mind,” but Mrs. Nadvordnik’s like “No, I mind. You don’t know your own strength.” Marie was playing with this inflatable globe. Me and my friends were playing with Legos, and Josh asked me to make items from Star Wars out of Legos. Brian and Cousins Dennis and Steven were by then playing Mario Party. Meanwhile, Mom had some brownies baking in the oven while she and Mrs. Nadvordnik were chatting with us.

For lunch, I made some grilled cheeses. Mom told Mrs. Hughes that after Matthew showed me how to make grilled cheeses, the rest of us started making grilled cheeses for lunch. All of us had brownies after they were done. After me and my friends finished ours’, we started playing Mario Party. Later, we went outside and played basketball. When we came back inside, the rest of the kids were watching Mr. Magoo. My favorite scene was when Mr. Magoo ended up in a snowboarding race, and he was riding an ironing board, and he was knocking the rest of the racers over.

After Matthew and Joshua went home, I started playing Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. I was trying to make money by playing the chest game. Dennis asked me “Like, you pay 20 Rupees, and then you only win 20 Rupees.”

Marie and Dana came into my room, and Dana saw Duckbutt, and she thought it was still Quackers. She asked Marie something about it, and Marie told her his name is now Duckbutt. I told Dana about Elouise and Duckduck.

Later, we got the N64 hooked back into my TV. Brian and Dennis were playing Zelda 64, and they were at the place that gets destroyed when you become an adult. Soon, they were playing this game called Cruisin’ World.

Brian lent Zelda 64 to Dennis and borrowed Cruisin’ World when Dennis and Steven went home.

Back to the present.

Vincent came over yesterday, and I showed him the stuff I wrote about Growing Up on the Spectrum and several of the comments that Chelle and I left on that post. He then showed me this website about a group called ASAN (Autism Self-Advocacy Network), which opposes groups such as Autism Speaks that seek a cure for Autism. Whereas Autism Speaks and other groups run by non-autistics speak for the families of autistic people and others who see autism as something negative, ASAN speaks for autistics themselves, and seeks to make the world understand them for who they are. They believe that to cure autism would alter an autist's personality.

The two of us then went to eat out at the bagel place and talk about stuff. Notably, he asked some stuff about Chelle, such as his/her gender (not specified) and whether or not s/he is autistic (which s/he is). Considering that Chelle is autistic, and Taylor was part of the Dowling Project, which only has autistic members, he suggested that they could be the same person. However, to rule that possibility out, the first time I spoke to Taylor was when he was playing Pokemon; Chelle told me that s/he doesn't even play video games. (Also, if I'm correct, Chelle also lives somewhere in Europe, where s/he has access to the Dutch dub of Mon Colle Knights.)

As far as A Link to the Past goes, I never did record how long it took me to complete the game in any one sitting, but yesterday it took me five and a half hours to get from the beginning of the game as far as completing Misery Mire (just two dungeons short of actually beating the game). I remembered where some stuff was even before turning the game on after such a long time, but a lot of stuff just came back to me, even though I didn't bother digging up my player's guide. I still don't remember where six of the game's Pieces of Heart are, and I decided just to pull up a walkthrough after turning the game off. Today, I might just top my record now that I'm familiar again with the dungeons and where everything is.

While I did have the day off from Pokemon Diamond yesterday, last night is the first time I've updated the plot outline for Parasitic Trio since Jake decided to shun it. Naturally, whenever I write down stuff that I think up (instead of going over it in my head a million times), it allows for new ideas to come to mind. Yesterday, I finally wrote down my idea of having Jamie's battle with Candice interrupted by Azelf's alert about Team Galactic; Ellen and Uxie (who were watching them) enlisting Candice, who in turn enlists her Junior Trainers, to help Ellen and Barry battle Team Galactic at Lake Acuity; and either Mesprit or Azelf using their powers to restore the water to their respective lake in an attempt to drown the Galactic grunts there.

What came to mind after that? Some stuff at the end, involving the elemental plates and the revival of Arceus. Even after Cyrus's death [that's right, he is killed on Spear Pillar; his getting pissed off and plotting revenge didn't satisfy me enough], Team Galactic is still in business, as is revealed at some point after the main characters beat the Elite Four and start exploring Sinnoh as a trio. So, while Ellen, Jamie, and May already have collected some of the eighteen plates (yes, there is one for "Normal" and the non-canon "Light"), there are some remaining in places that they had already explored, which they will be able to find with the Itemfinder or Dowsing Machine. They will find most of these before coming to Stark Mountain (and finding one more within Stark Mountain itself), but Team Galactic will have already claimed the Blank Plate and the Hero Plate, which the good guys must fight for.

Now, before we go into detail about what will ensue here, let's take a look at Mother 3 (or at least what I've read on Wikipedia or watched on YouTube, since I never played that game myself). The idea of that game is that you're supposed to pull seven needles out of the earth to unseal a dragon. If an evil person awakens the dragon, the world will be destroyed, but if a good person pulls them, it is created anew. After you pull the final needle, you see everything getting destroyed (said to be the evil Pigmask Army) while happy music plays in the background. You then learn that the world is safe and the inhabatants of the islands survived.

Now, to come back to the ficseries. Once the trio of Trainers has all the plates, they will already be in the appointed chamber, where they must equip their parties with six plates each (and each plate must match the holder's type as well). Then, each Pokemon must step on one of eighteen tiles forming a circle on the floor, in order for Arceus to be revived in the present. (You might be wondering why this isn't taking place at Spear Pillar, but that's different because there, you need the Azure Flute to travel to the past and enter the Hall of Origin.)

Finally, the only way to cleanse Sinnoh of Team Galactic is to destroy Sinnoh itself with Arceus's trademark move, Judgment. The Trainers are informed that the population of Sinnoh is already waging an all-out war with Team Galactic, and are assured that once the destruction ensues, the region will be restored, and everyone who wasn't part of Team Galactic will be resurrected. One of the Trainers must choose which element will be used to eradicate Team Galactic once and for all, and will give the respective plate to Arceus.

When I finally get to that part, I will let the dice decide which plate Arceus will use bring Judgment to Sinnoh, before writing the final chapter to the arc. After that's all over, the trio will then take on the Battle Frontier (being hosted in celebration of Team Galactic's true downfall), and then the ficseries will end with them relaxing at the Resort Area.

Chelle:

Considering that Chelle is autistic, and Taylor was part of the Dowling Project, which only has autistic members, he suggested that they could be the same person.

WTF? Part lol @ that, part creeped out. Why is some stranger questioning about me and why is he suggesting I am this Taylor person? It makes no sense to assume that just because someone is autistic, they must be this other autistic person they heard off. That's ridiculously farfetched.

So yeah, I live in Europe, I've never heard of Dowling Project and I want to know why that person is asking such weird questions about me.

Anyway, I do think 'curing autism' is a term that gives the wrong idea about the condition, as if it were a disease, but I'm not actively opposed to finding ways to improve the situation of Autistic brains. Heck, if I could have global perception or could work in bright lights without getting stupider or even fainting or wouldn't randomly freeze at times and all the other crap I have from Autism, I'd probably take it. If it was safe, that is. Autism is a physical condition of the brain, so a 'cure' or countermeasure would probably be dangerous since it would have to affect the very fragile structure of the brain. Science is way too crude for such a thing presently.
Anyway, the people who say they don't want a cure are the ones that don't have disabling physical consequences, those tend to be high-functional autists. The only way in which autism is part of someone's personality is that they're far less easily influenced by the bandwagon effect.

The point is, there is no cure as of now and treating autism like a disease only makes it worse for the autists. The best way to help autists is to try to understand them and adapt to them, cause they can't adapt to the world half as well as the world could adapt to them if they tried. You can't stop being autistic, but less bright lights and a different schedule at work places and other such things are perfectly possible for companies that might employ autists.
