Just one Co7G entry today. Even though it is relatively short, it will still stand alone, because this is one of those days where the next game in the 7th Grade lineup will be announced.

March 14, 1999 (Sunday)

Today, Grandma Ella came over. While she was over, we went to see October Skies. The characters were cursing, and I was repeating the curses. During the movie, Dad kicked me when I cursed once.

When we got home, I got a bag of skittles. Now that I had a bag each of M&Ms and Skittles, I opened both of them and separated each of them by color, and showed Mom and Dad. Then I tried to stuff them all in my mouth at once. Dad spoke to me about this.

A few minutes later, Mom was trying to help me with my Science Olympics project, and she asked Brian to help me. I was building a marshmallow catapult, and Brian was using a Lego man as a projectile, and he’s like “We should launch this lawyer.” Mom’s like “Try to be a little more scientific.”

Later today, I played “Legend of Zelda.” I tried to see what would happen if I died 999 times, but I gave up after dying like fourteen times in Hyrule Castle.

Next game: Panel de Pon, the Japanese equivalent to Tetris Attack.

Back to the present.

Yesterday was the first time this summer that I went out sailing with my family. Mom brought some leftover fried chicken, some donuts she bought from Entemann's, and some containers of wine and lemonade, so that we could eat dinner on the boat.

On our way to the boatyard, we stopped at that place where Brian had recently been working for Bob Nadasky. As it turns out, he was helping Bob inside a house that was undergoing renovation. Mom also asked us if we remember him from last year. I needed my memory refreshed, but she told us that we met him a year ago when we also took Brian and Frances out for a sail. His dog Tebor was even there, and Marie had some fun playing with him.

Oh yeah, now I remember!

So anyway, Marie asked Mom, wouldn't it be nice if he gave us Tebor just like that man who gave us Trudy the rabbit? As it turns out quite coincidentally, Bob was the same person who gave us Trudy back when I was in 4th grade. (With that brought up, I should mention that Mom and Dad named her that, after a rabbit from one of their favorite movies Local Hero. However, she didn't live very long after we got her; she one time escaped from her cage and ran all over the neighborhood, and then died shortly after being caught.)

Brian came with us to the boatyard, but only so that he could drive Dad's van back home as the rest of us went out. Not much to say about the boatride itself, but the time was 7:30 when we got home.
