For this week: Sunday was Mother's Day of that year, but I don't remember anything that happened on that day. Tuesday, Brian got reprimanded at dinner for confronting his principal about something. Saturday was the day that me and Brian had our chorus concerts for the spring.

Yesterday, me and Dad spoke about the kinds of stuff that James did to me while pretending to be my friend. Today, I told James that I’m not gonna be his friend anymore.

Tonight at dinner, Dad was yelling at Brian, who was crying over some incident at recess. According to what they were saying, Brian and his friends were trading Pokemon cards, and Ms. Nimsyck confiscated them. Brian went to Dr. Mench’s office and said “Why did you take Raury’s cards?” While Dad was lecturing him, Mom explained that these things get stolen, and that he’s even lucky to have recess, since I don’t.

At Group, Joshua brought a box of cupcakes because his birthday will be next Saturday. He even knows the exact minute he was born, and said that that’s when the party will start. We did a role play in which he would call us on the phone and invite us over. I told him that I can’t come because I have a chorus concert to go to. I didn’t even make that up; I really have to be there on that day.

After we left Group, Mom took me to WalMart. I watched someone playing Mario Party in the electronics section. We also picked up a golf club since golf is my afterschool activity on Wednesdays.

James apologized this morning for the mean things he did to me, and I forgave him.

May 15, 1999 (Saturday; Longwood Day)

Today was Longwood Day, and me and Brian had our chorus concerts at the high school. Grandma Ella also came with us to watch, although Dad stayed home.

Brian’s concert consisted of Make New Friends, Calypso, and some other song. He once did say that they were also gonna sing Laugh Ha Ha, but his chorus teacher decided it was stupid.

We also watched the 5th and 7th grade band and orchestra concerts. I don’t remember whether it was in the 5th grade band or 5th grade orchestra list, but I noticed both Craig Setzer and Anna Mackenzie listed right next to each other in one of the two lists.

For my concert, we sang Turn the Lights On, Clouds, The Birth of the Blues, and Rock ‘n’ Roll Party Tonight. During the first two intermissions, I thrust my fist back and forth, singing “gonna kick your fat-ass, fat-ass, fat-ass” and repeating it, but the kids near me stopped me. I also saw Mom in the audience telling me to stop.

When we were eating dinner, Mom told me to show Dad what I did. I showed him, but this time, more forcefully than I actually did between songs.

Back to the present.

Yesterday, at some point before she went back to New York, Marie told Dad that she found out on Facebook that someone named Hope Antz died. From what she remembered, Hope had been a classmate of hers back in 1st grade, and she had wrote something about her since hers was one of the only two names she knew how to spell correctly. Later on, Mom asked Brian if he knew someone with the same last name, who turned out to be Nick Antz in high school.
