For the most part, nothing significant. Monday, however, is when we all went to Snowflake and I refused to get any ice cream there. (That is also where we went on the 2nd of August a year ago.) Friday was quite an eventful visit to Matthew's house.

Today, I’ve stopped playing Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, and started playing Super Mario RPG. Upon looking through the Super Mario RPG player’s guide, I’ve found a lot of familiar-sounding words from playing Ocarina of Time, such as “haven,” which was used in my Ocarina of Time player’s guide. Meanwhile, Brian is still playing Star Wars Episode I: Racer, and he even invited James over to play it with him.
June 20, 1999 (Sunday; Father’s Day)
I spent most of the day playing Super Mario RPG. Half of it was spent fighting Mack, and since I use the coin and dice to decide what each character is gonna do, it’s hard to get Mario to hit Mack. Brian watched me, and he’s like “If those things were worth experience, you’d be getting a whole lot.”
June 21, 1999 (Monday)
Today during Homeroom, James and Kenny asked me to dance like I did during the End of the Year Dance. I showed them until Ms. B. came, and she told me that they were probably making fun of me.
Today in Social Studies, we were assigned to write letters to ourselves, to receive when we graduate from High School.
This afternoon, everyone watched the video of Marie’s school play The Second Princess, while I was busy playing Super Mario RPG. After it was over, Dad drove us to the library, and then to an ice cream parlor called Snowflake. As we were leaving home, he made jokes about the flavors of ice cream they’d have. He also had the radio turned on, which was playing various disco songs.
While Dad was parking at the library, I put my knees up on his seat, and he told me to put them down. I kept putting them up, and then he jokingly told me I’m not getting ice cream.
When we got to Snowflake, I decided not to have any ice cream. Mom told me that it’s not like we’re here just because school’s out.
“Is it because of Dad talking about vegetable flavors?” she asked.
“No,” I said.
“Well, I hope it’s not because of Dad telling you you can’t have any.” I denied that that too.
I then wandered in the parking lot, and I noticed the girl scouts having ice cream together. Mom’s like “See any cute girls?”
After we left, Dad drove us to Riverhead, to that river near the place where I used to go for piano lessons. It was the same place where me and Brian would try to throw walnuts onto the paddle boat after each lesson.
I’m not sure whether it was Monday or Tuesday of this week, but I do remember having Libby sign my yearbook in the hall during Homeroom period. Several other students did sign my yearbook as well, but she in particular wrote that once 7th Grade was over, she would no longer be going to Longwood.

Today, while we were taking one of the Finals, me and Ms. B came out to the tables in the middle of House 2N. I found a photograph of some girl, which had various pen markings on it. I kept it, and asked Mr. Verdi who that girl was on the way out. He said that he doesn’t know off the top of his head who she is, but he will find out by tomorrow.
June 24, 1999 (Thursday; last day of school)
Today on the bus to school was the first time I ever saw anyone wearing a Celebrity Deathmatch t-shirt.
While taking the last Final, Mr. Verdi came up to me and told me that that girl’s name was Lindsay Schmidt.

Today, Mom brought me to Matthew’s house. Matthew was watching an episode of Pokemon when we got there, and then we watched Pinky & the Brain. We also watched the beginning of some gameshow where someone scrubbed a really dirty toilet to uncover a smiley face.
After watching TV, we went outside and had a water pistol fight. It was so hot outside that even the dog’s metal water dish was hot to touch.
We later came back inside to play Xtreme Sports and Wild Arms. Mom came back to the house and talked with Matthew’s mother, and then noticed that that big, yellow duck was watching us play. She’s like “Oh, the duck’s watching? Sometimes, Eric’s squirrel likes to watch him play.”
Later on, Matthew’s mom took us out grocery shopping. Me and Matthew helped her peel the leaves off of corn while we were there.
When we got back to the house, we went into the basement and played darts. Since I’m not as skilled as he is, we had Matthew’s mom come down and arrange something. We decided that Matthew would take three turns per game, while I take five turns.
After a few games, Matthew then turned on Cartoon Network. We watched an episode of Josie & the Pussycats, before going back upstairs to watch him play Lemmings 3D.
This is like the ending of Earthbound, where you say goodbye to everyone you’ve met, and then, in the grand finale, Picky comes to your house and says one last thing. Yesterday, we were all saying goodbye to one another at school, and today, I’ve met up with Matthew, who doesn’t go to my school.
Back to the present.

Yesterday, I had made some really good headway with Super Mario RPG. I managed to save before exploring Star Hill, but when I came back to the game then, I found that all four files had deleted themselves. Such a thing has happened before (particularly with Earthbound), but only rarely. As of last night, I managed to make my way back up to Tadpole Pond, and having cleared most of the game in one day means that I can let this go. However, if this happens one too many times, I might just have to abort this game altogether.
We got a new hard drive delivered to us by FedEx yesterday. Brian set it up last night, but he still has yet to install certain stuff on it, such as Microsoft Word, and I believe he did say that our files will be transferred to the new hard drive.
