Oct. 26th, 2009 05:38 amAllowed myself more time with Pokemon Diamond yesterday, though I did also focus on my schoolwork as well.
Beat Byron on my first attempt. Half my team consisted of throwaways: a Level 14 Hippopotas, a Level 17 Finneon (which did a fine job with most of the regular trainers), and an Egg. My Level 36 Glameow and Level 39 Murkrow did a fine job together against Bronzor, and my level 24 Gyarados took care of Steelix and Bastiodon mostly with Dragon Rage (deals a fixed 40 damage). I had plenty of Revives, Super Potions, and MooMoo Milks to fall back on, but the only item I actually had to use was a Lemonade (which I had three of).
Two more badges to get, which will be essential to have full control over Arceus, since he'll be at Level 100 when I get him. The downloading event is still two weeks away, so I've got quite a bit of time to get the National Dex, in case it turns out I need that first before downloading him. (Oh, and I'm also looking forward to seeing which Pokemon I'll migrate to the PAL Park.)
