Lately, whenever I think about Mai, I tend to think about her with her regular nose, rather than with the large, cone-shaped one she had in my version of SMW2: Yoshi's Island rewritten. Well, the only other anime-style human girl I think about with any kind of nose-modification is Nozomi (whose nose would've become "lifelike"). Even though trying to picture cone-nosed Mai in my head feels kinda forced, actually looking at the two pics of her I posted on DeviantArt actually does turn me on.
Anyway, Jake and I agreed that Mai would still have her nose enlarged and reshaped into a cone at the beginning of his version of the fic, for several reasons. One, for consistency with my version. Two, to fulfull my fetish for embarrassed girls. Three, it would make the smell of Baby Mario's diapers, as well as the sulfuric air inside any volcanic caves she travels through, more bothersome to her. (If she and her friends previously explored a sewer system in Makeruna! Makendou Z, then having to change Mario's diapers would probably not be a big deal for her even the first time, don't you think?) And finally, during the battle against Baby Bowser, when he becomes big, Mai would become a human-sized version of her own nose, and would reflect Bowser's fireballs by either sneezing or snorting them up and spitting them back at him.
As to how her nose would be enlarged, we decided that after changing Mario's diaper the first time around (and I'm not sure whether she'd have to re-use the same one or give him a new one), she'd pick up a nearby flower and sniff it to comfort her nostrils. This is the effect said flower has on her nose. Joe's nose would be enlarged, too, but would resemble that of Slash, Nancy, or Wendy from Snowboard Kids 2. Exactly what causes his nose to transform, though, is still yet to be decided.
Jake also specified that when Mai or Joe take enough hits, their clothes will come to pieces, and they will remain naked for at least 60 seconds. He also specified that Mai's breasts and butt will also have been enlarged by something (he didn't specify what). After having looked at my own pics, the thought of her being naked, big-breasted, *and* having a big, coneshaped nose at the same time kinda turns me on. I genuinely do enjoy thinking about Nozomi simultaneously naked and big-nosed, more often than Mai.
Finally, Jake never did specify whether Mai's hair will transform during the fic. The idea of Mai's hair becoming a beehive kinda turns me on (ditto for her blue-haired sister Hikari, even though she won't be in most of the fic). I will let Jake decide whether or not he likes this, but if he does, then that would be one more thing for Mai to be embarrassed about, which makes her situation all that much more arousing for me.
