Something I should clear up regarding Katsuo and Ryo's weapons in Monster Collection Chronicles:
Upon looking up Google, it turns out that there are all kinds of uzis, and the ones I saw immediately weren't the models I had in mind when I came up with the Menacer and the Soul Breaker. Last night, I decided to ask on Yahoo Answers what the ones in question were, and even though they are different, the answers I got specified both of them to be MP5s. Looked that up, and there are different models of those too. So in that case, I'll just host some links for anyone reading this to see what exactly the Menacer and the Soul Breaker would've looked like respectively:

(In case you're wondering, that character is Vermillion, from Battle Arena Toshinden 4. However, the guns he carries in two of the previous games are different.)

Now that school's over and I finally have some character profiles laid out for MCC, I'm gonna need to get started with that at some point. Three years ago, I decided that I would combine elements from Grandia III, In the Shadow of Chaos, and Cursed Yoshi, and for that reason, I started a new game with Grandia III just yesterday. Mainly, to refresh my memory of the game's story, but also because for the previous several days, all I had been doing mostly was continuously checking my email and seeing if Chelle would comment on anything in this blog.
But anyway, let's talk about what makes those three things so special:
Grandia III: To this day remains one of my favorite RPGs of all time. Grandia II had already piqued my interest three years prior, with its unique battle system and its kickass battle themes, and this installment does even better in both those departments. This is also where I derived the idea of the Knights being able to jump into the air to attack. Decisions? More than you had to make in II. You can fuse Mana Eggs into stronger ones, but will have one less each time you do so. Mana Eggs and Skill Books yeild stronger spells and skills, but can no longer be equipped once their contents are extracted.
It's too bad that Miranda and Alonso are only in the party for a few areas in the game on disk 1, but then again, Hect only joins briefly towards the end of disk 2. However, my biggest gripe with this game was already mentioned on the August 1, 2008. Attack With Conviction is awesome; What Do You Fight For? is so-so. Still, not a bad game at all!
In the Shadow of Chaos (Digimon) Not as special as Cursed Yoshi, which I'll talk about next. However, this fic goes on for a total of eighty-eight chapters! On top of that, this is the fic from which I found out about a site called Digidex, which then inspired me to think up the ideas for Digimon Royale. Even though it might seem to be a repeat of Adventure 01, author Quinton Notwen really got creative with this fic!
(As it turns out, the original Digidex website no longer exists, but I did find an even better site, which has more Digimon species archived and still has all Digivolution info on them.)
Cursed Yoshi: This is by far the best fanfic I've ever read, despite not still being incomplete. Not a Super Mario fic at all; only there because it features Yoshis, Koopas, Birdos, and a few of what could be cameos of enemies from Super Mario RPG. Other than that, it's completely its own universe, and I don't think I would've ever found anything like it if I hadn't made any trips through Fanfiction.net's Mario archive back when it updated on a weekly basis. EPIC!!!
