Mar. 31st, 2010 07:30 amIt only took up to three hours to upload everything that had taken three months to tape onto the hard drive. Next step is to upload them onto YouTube, and then start focusing on the OAV. Once they're up, maybe I'll ask Chelle if she'd be willing to translate the stuff for me. (With that said, I should note that most of the scenes in question aren't fanservice-oriented. I'll note the ones that are so that she can avoid them).
By the time I was finished uploading my stuff, the rain had nearly subsided. I took my PokeWalker out for a three-hour walk up and down Masem Court, which is much longer than any walk I ever went on when I took Fitness Walking back in Suffolk. I never ran out of breath, but my feet and shins sure began to cramp up while I was at it. It was 3:56 when I left the house, and 7:06 when I came back. When I got back inside, Mom's like "Back from the gym?"
According to the PokeWalker, I had walked 22,269 steps in three hours. Even though Mom did say that going on a fitness walk is much more of an actual exercise than just wandering around in the backyard, she also said that I should pace myself. But, let's quote someone from Pokemon Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald:
"Try hiking, and I mean really pounding, on these mountain trails with a heavy pack weighing dozens of pounds. That, my friend, will get your body into serious shape." (Said by a Hiker named Trent on Route 112, after you defeat him.)
According to something Mom found, the number of steps I took on Masem Court translates into 11 1/8 miles.

Date: 2019-07-14 12:21 pm (UTC)I guess I can help translate some stuff, I'll need the raw files though so I can work on them directly. Youtube's pause mechanism is not precise enough, and for some rapidly pronounced words it helps to clip and slow down to hear better. Also, that way I can put the subtitles on at the same time.

Date: 2019-07-14 12:21 pm (UTC)If this is gonna involve sending you raw files, I might need your email address, unless you can specify an alternate way to send them to you. I didn't see any option to include video files onto PMs. Also, there are a lot of them, so I might need to send them to you each individually.
I never taped most of the text-only material, because that's not important to the fandub. I'll probably get around to it another time, if to learn more about what goes on throughout the game.
Also, if you'd like to avoid the fanservice-oriented clips, I'll leave out scenes #14, #16, #33, #41, #47, and the (supposed) epilogue. Scene #15 is just a no-dialogue transformation sequence, and scene #44 is just a pained yelp from Doro, so those aren't necessary. If you wouldn't mind doing those scenes, though, that would save me the trouble of either finding someone else or figuring them out myself, and I'd really appreciate it.
With that specified, I'll also send you two of the three omakes from the second game, which I downloaded from YouTube. The rest of Makeruna! Makendou 2 can wait until I actually get around to playing that.
So, thanks for offering a hand with this project, and please let me know how I can send you what I've got. Okay?

Date: 2019-07-14 12:23 pm (UTC)With that said, how many clips do you think I should send you to start with? Should I just give you one to work on at a time?

Date: 2019-07-14 12:24 pm (UTC)Yep, one or two at a time would be best since otherwise I'm going to end up working on bits and pieces of everything at the same time; same reason why it's taking me so long to get subbed MCK scenes up, doing too much at the same time.
I'll send you my email address, but if my inbox can't handle them you can just use megaupload or sendspace. Since this concerns only partials of a work for non-profit, it should fall under fair use.
