Finally found a good place to stop in Pokemon SoulSilver two days ago. Managed not to play it all of yesterday, and today, I plan on spending some time with Getter Love!!

-----

Yesterday was my last Japanese tutoring session. At Mom's suggestion, I wrote Kenji a note thanking him for having spent the past few months tutoring me, and also enclosed those two movie passes that I got for my birthday. Kenji, unfortunately, wasn't in. I went out to find him, and then met Eriko in the lobby, and she agreed to tutor me for him. After it was over, I asked her to give Kenji the envelope containing the note and the movie passes for me.

-----

Dad has apologized to me yesterday for having seemingly made fun of me the other night. That means I won (kinda), and everything's settled.

-----

Got started with another pic. At first, I was gonna hand-draw it, but after having ended up making the character taller than I aimed for, I decided to finally try out Gimp for the first time.

In case anyone's curious, the pic in question is gonna be of Rockna as a giantess, holding the Acolyte (her staff in MCC) in one hand, and holding the front of her skirt down with the other as she blushes slightly. Haven't decided what kind of scenery I'm gonna draw around her, although suggestions are welcome if anyone would like to make any. Not sure if I'll have other characters in the pic as well; might add some so as to emphasize her growth, or might just draw her to keep things simple. And, as you can gather, this isn't gonna be based on the RP that I previously did with Chelle, though I might draw some scenes from that story at some point.

Yay, I get to give art pointers ^_^

Chelle:

There's one thing you do have in advantage over me. While I presently get virtually no more conflicts, you dad apologizes over mistakes while my mom doesn't.
Glad it worked out ^_^

Ruins could be used in the background to show she is a giant, in case you decide against using another character to show her size. Regular buildings could also be used, but they might end up being more difficult to draw, while ruins already are messy and asymmetric. Plus, ruins are more likely to call up a "fantasy land" image.

I can't recall whether I explained layers already, but the background is best placed on a separate layer. For her body, use one layer for her nude line out and draw the clothes over it on a third layer, this'll help keep a close eye on her anatomy.

Assuming you're using line art, select the pen tool and adjust the size to 1 or lower. The paint brush tool doesn't give very clean lines.

Work twice the size you intend the final image to be, so you can work on details better. This'll be especially important when getting the hand positions : clenched fists are tricky, get a mirror aside of the computer so you can mimic the positions and see how they look from another angle.

Dunno if you have fragmented perception, but if you're not sure you have proportions correct, stand up and walk a few meters away from the screen, or squeeze your eyes till sight is blurry and detail is canceled out.

Pick a light source before you begin coloring. She's probably outside, so that would be the sun, meaning that the sky coloration will depend on the light angle, and her shadows will be affected by the time of day. During the bright day, shadows are light and neutral, during a warm evening they are blueish while her primary colors would be more towards orange. Cold days need warm shadows and pale highlighting.

Airbrush tool is a bit more complicated to use properly, so I suggest first doing coloration with the regular pain brush tool, employed several layers for things like skin, clothes, etc.

Regularly save the file, just in case you get a freeze/crash.
