Apr. 30th, 2010 07:18 amMade it through all of yesterday without playing Getter Love!! However, progress with the pic is gonna be pretty slow, and as soon as I'm done outlining Rockna, I'm gonna host it on Photobucket and link to it, so that Chelle can critique it when she chooses to. (Might or might not make the clothes and hair part of the same layer as the character. I already have her arm in the position of holding the skirt down, so to make them a separate layer would cause it to go over said arm.)
Mentioning this the first time had also reminded Chelle of the RP, and she asked how far I had gotten. I told her that I was still trying to figure out how to change a certain part of the conversation that Mondo and Rockna have while underwater. I gave her a copy of that part for her to modify just a few days ago, but apparently, she was unable to come up with anything. So, I guess I'll just delete a few things, starting with an earlier reference to Katsuo (since it no longer applies).

Watched episode 3 of Elfen Lied yesterday, up until the point where Yuka slaps Kouta for fondling Nyu's breast (which she wanted him to do). Yeah, he could have pulled away from her and refused to touch her, but in general, Yuka is such a bitch. She doesn't listen to Kouta when he tries to explain anything to her, she slaps him for forgetting something, she puts him to work when he *almost* recovers from a fever, even though he's still somewhat sick. At this point, I'm guessing she's gonna treat him like this all series long, so just fuck it.
I'm surprised I didn't see "Butt Monkey" or "Kafka Komedy" listed in the TV Tropes & Idioms page for this series, nor did Chelle warn me of this when he mentioned other stuff that the series would involve. It was only when I looked the page up again on the site and read the main description that it "has been likened to a combination of X-Men, Carrie, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, and Love Hina. In other words, it's a twisted mixture of pseudo-harem antics, mutant battles, cute girls, split personalities, and of course, lots and lots of gore."
By the time I sealed the disk back in the envelope, the mail had already come. However, Mom was able to take it to the post office when she dropped me off at the barber shop, so that might be one day less to wait for The World of Narue, disk 3.

Later today, I am going to write some stuff about Rockna's sixth sense, what exactly has been bothering me all this time, and some other stuff pertaining to it. One of Chelle's fics will also be mentioned, and I hope she'll have anything to say when it's up.

Date: 2019-07-14 03:34 pm (UTC)so to make them a separate layer would cause it to go over said arm.
Just rearrange the layer to be beneath the body outline and later erase the lines where her body would be covered by the clothes.
but apparently, she was unable to come up with anything.
Don't assume things without having asked whether it's a correct assumption. In case you haven't read my latest entry, I had a certain real life thing on my mind and the only writing related matter I've lately done was clean up grammar errors in a fic chapter; so far I haven't had a look yet at the segment.

I didn't watch the full series, most of what I saw was of the later episodes, which were focused on Mariko and didn't feature Yuka much. In fact, I'm not even sure whether it was six episodes that I've seen. I skipped the center because of the deal with the little girl and her dog. While I'm glad that it seems to be handled with seriousness and that it pointed out the problem with willing disbelief of the caretakers, I would probably haven gotten upset anyway.
