Breaker Pro sucks!

dmxratedReceived my Breaker Pro yesterday, and decided to try it out. Regardless of what I did, I was unable to play Makeruna! Makendou 2 at all. I also tried sawing off the front of the disk tray, because some YouTube videos said that you're supposed to force the disk tray open with the slide card that comes with the disk, but as it turns out, I could have just unscrewed it for that purpose. To add to that, it was easier to force it open with a tweezer than with the slide card, and then when I tried loading Final Fantasy VII with the disk, it worked with that game even though I simply ejected it the normal way. And as a final insult, when I try to load MM2 without the disk, the console just gives me a list of songs to listen to instead of actually starting the game up, so even though it did come with the instructions manual when I bought it, I have reason to believe that it might actually be an audio CD instead of the game itself.

Well, the money I spent on the game wasn't completely wasted. I actually wanted the instructions manual even more than the game itself, because there is not a single walkthrough online for this game with which to learn everyone's special moves. As for the Breaker Pro, I had reason enough to assume that it would do its job. $35 wasted, and I hope I might be able to recuperate that loss when I try to put it back on Ebay.
With that said, I'm not spending money on more stuff that might not even work. Instead, I think I'll try to play this game on an emulator instead, and use DemoCreator to record any game footage I need. That should provide better video quality than on a videotape anyway.
And, since I already damaged my Playstation 2, I think I might just let Brian mod that one when he comes back from California, instead of buying him a second one from Ebay.
