My next one-on-one Japanese class begins on the 12th of this month. From what I've received from Sato-sensei, I will be seeing Natsue Sakurai from 9 to 10 each Sunday morning.

...but I was never really satisfied with my older videos...
...I have no intentions of changing my older videos like that, but with all seriousness, some of the games I've done, I could've covered them a little better.

Exactly how I feel about the Getter Love!! era from a year ago. Well, I am perfectly satisfied with how the Co7G era that preceded it played out. However, with my first experiences with GL, the summer was almost over, and then my schoolwork became an issue that Mom would nag me about while I would try to get some game time into each day. There was also an argument with Chelle about character development and managing 24 characters (now 12) on a single team for Monster Collection Chronicles. Worst of all, though, took place on the Wednesday right after the whole thing ended. Why did that have to happen then, of all times?
If I ever will redo the Getter Love!! era, it will probably be either when I'm fluent enough in the language to just read along, or if a translation patch ever comes out. Even then, though, while there are plenty of VG songs that would have been viable for the end of any given entry, what would the grand finale be anything like?
Yeah, I did mention this whole thing in two consecutive entries just months ago, which I later on deleted. That wasn't the first time that I had posted personal thoughts in an entry without any particular cue; they were just swirling around in my head screaming to get out. However, it wasn't the first time either that I had deleted content out of dissatisfaction. So, yeah.
Should've compared that whole Getter Love!! fiasco to Sonic the Hedgehog's 15th anniversary. Two things that were supposed to be epic and celebrate certain anniversaries, instead, completely flopped. In Sonic's case, production of the game was rushed for a Christmas release, which is why everything sucked so bad. Similar in my case is the nagging from Mom about my reading assignments, school itself, and me forcing myself to play the game longer than I actually felt like playing it.

Now for the main attraction:
Well, I've made my way up to Fuchsia City in Pokemon SoulSilver, cleared the gym there, and am (almost) ready to decide which Pokemon will be migrated from each of the GBA games to this game. However, I've decided that first, each Pokemon from each game should bring something with them.
For four of the games, six items already in the inventory or in storage will be picked according to die rolls. For Emerald, though, I've decided that each Pokemon will bring something with them that I exchange points for at the Battle Frontier.
Turns out that I had 229 Battle Points from when I challenged the Frontier shortly before HeartGold and SoulSilver came out. What a headstart! So far, I only need seven more points for the items that I've decided will be carried over to SoulSilver.
In any case, it sure is nice playing Emerald (as well as Ruby and Sapphire, to a lesser extent) again, even if I'm not playing the entire game all over. The animations (particularly for running) are faster, the graphics are simpler (though still better than in GSC), and animations for Pokemon and moves don't stretch, expand, shrink, sparkle, flash, or do anything else weird. Well, half of the Pokemon sprites do stretch out, but for the most part, everything looks more like the equivalent to a nostalgic 16-bit Super NES game, while the NDS games resemble something for the 32-bit Playstation. (Or, you could also try to compare Sonic the Hedgehog 1, 2, or 3 & Knuckles for the Sega Genesis, to Knuckles Chaotix for the Sega 32X, and you'd still get the idea.)
Anyway, once the PAL Park is over and done with, I still have yet to battle Brock, Blaine, Gary, and then Ash. After that will come the Battle Frontier, and then I'll have a break from Pokemon entirely while I do something else or another.
