Accumulated the number of Battle Points that I wanted in Pokemon Emerald. To celebrate, I had an epic PokeWalker session where I put Gyarados into Night Sky's Edge and walked up and down Masem Court for eighty minutes straight. Didn't count how many laps I walked, and I was rather exhausted when I came home (which was right before dinner was ready).
As far as the results go, I had obtained two Rare Bones and a Star Piece from the Walker, and had 648 watts left over after that(which included 100 from bonuses accumulated by Gyarados).
Also, I found out that the number of steps required to find any given item or Pokemon is according to the number on the bottom-right corner, not the number of steps you walked since starting a new session. Learned this during the previous session, where I put Cranidos in Volcano Path, when I had to sort through a bunch of Moon Stones (5,000 steps required) and Apicot Berries (8,000 required) before getting items I'd rather have, even though I only walked more than 3,000 steps (the number required for a Lava Cookie).
With that said, I'm gonna have to decide what to do about that. Either way, though, you still need to build up watts in order to find items and Pokemon and to unlock new routes. Maybe from now on, the first session in each day, I just walk the number of steps required for a particular item, and then any sessions after that, I'd just walk up and down Masem Court until my legs start to give out. (That is, unless I'm doing anything in particular, such as mowing the lawn.)
On a final note, I should note that only Pokemon who barely, barely passed the threshold between their current level and the previous one are ones that I'd choose for the PokeWalker. Otherwise, any experience they've accumulated in battles or from wild Pokemon after their last level-up would likely go to waste, since Pokemon can only level up once per session.
