Oct. 17th, 2010 06:57 amMom and I went to Dad's workshop yesterday to pick up some cats that Dad had been feeding recently. Mom told me that there had been five in all: two kittens, their mother (which ran away from Dad, giving her the nickname "Scaredy-Blackey"), their father, and a stray cat which said father had been scaring off.
While we were there, only one of them, a black and white kitten, came in through the fence. Mom fed it, and asked me whether we should take it home. I suggested that we do so, so that it would be easier to give away while it's small.
Mabel was rather pissed off about having another cat in the house. She had been put into Mom and Dad's room for the rest of the day, so that she wouldn't attack the kitten.
For some reason, this little kitty never meowed, unlike Mabel when she was tiny. She apparently likes getting picked up, too, and also slept with me for all of last night.
