dmxratedFinally picked up again yesterday with Makeruna! Makendou Z, and got as far as I needed to go with taping it. I already have everything after the Honmayaner battle on the original tape, because at that point the first time around, I was already running out of notebook space.
Started a new game last night with Zone of the Enders: The Fist of Mars, a game I haven't played for four years. Great way to continue delaying a new game with Pokemon Diamond.

As of the other day's drabble attempt, I've been wishing I had named Pfizgiy's alter-ego Kaede instead of Minami. The former name sounds much sharper and doesn't start with an M, and I wish I hadn't created a certain pattern after already naming two characters "Kasumi" and "Hitomi". At first, I was going to resist the inclination to change it, lest I start doing it more often and confusing anyone who might potentially read it. But then again, this wouldn't be the first time.
If you'd like to know, Katsuo was originally named Kai when I brought him up with Jake, before I first mentioned him on this blog, but I thought "Kai" was too cliched. Kasumi was originally named Kuni when I thought her up in 2004, but the former just sounded cuter. Hitomi... well, I wanted to use that name for a while, but didn't really have anyone to give it to.
Anyway, I also figured I might have been overusing the K sound at some point, so let's take a look at names I've given to certain people:
1) Kasumi (McKnight's daughter)
2) Ikoku (would be Kasumi's mother, if she's ever referred to)
3) Katsuo (Rokuna's brother)
4) Takeshi (one of the main villains in MCC part II, main antagonist in Rockna & a Hard Place)
5) Ryo (one of Takeshi's cohorts in R&aHP)
6) Hitomi (the gynoid)
7) Yui (would have been Vivienne's lesbian love interest in the proposed Ultimate Girls fics, before I decided to give her a male)
8) Toshi (Vivienne's love interest in the UG fics)
9) Sho (Vivienne's son in the UG fics)
10) Kisho (Mai and Hikari's comatose brother in one of my proposed Makendou fics)
So, not counting Midori (which someone else named Rokuna's mother as) and Hoshi (which means "star"), that's five names with a K, and five without. In that case, don't be surprised if I change "Minami" to "Kaede" in the previous entry. (Good thing neither of us even said her name while leaving comments.)
