Mom came home early from work yesterday to take Marie for a checkup. Grandpa Bob arrived at our house while the two of them were away. I came to the door to greet him, he asked where they were, I told them, and he decided to wait in his car and listen to the radio.
Shortly after Mom and Marie came home, all four of us went to the shopping center across Horseblock Road. I got dropped off at GameStop while the rest of them went over to Savers.
So, earlier yesterday, I found out that Pokemon Ranger: Guardian Signs had been released barely two months ago, and there are four downloadable missions with transferable Pokemon which will be available until January 11. So, I traded in my first copy of the original Pokemon Ranger for $2.50 in store credit, and bought a brand new copy of Guardian Signs for $35. (I had the exact amount in cash from a recent ATM transaction, was actually short just 29 cents, and the clerk just let it slide.) Was also hoping they'd have some used copies of Pokemon Ranger: Shadows of Almia, like they did with the original Ranger, but they didn't.
Anyway, let's take a look at which games are missing any of the four transferable Pokemon from Guardian Signs:
Diamond: Can get Manaphy directly from Ranger. Will eventually get Heatran in Stark Mountain. Deoxys and Shaymin are inaccessible.
Pearl: Can get Manaphy directly from Ranger. Heatran was already obtained from Stark Mountain. Shaymin was obtained from a Toys 'R' Us event and traded to SoulSilver through Diamond. And of course, Deoxys is covered.
Platinum: Can get Manaphy directly from Ranger. Shaymin will eventually be obtained in Flower Paradise. Deoxys and Heatran are inaccessible.
HeartGold: Needs all four.
SoulSilver: Shaymin was traded from Pearl through Diamond. Heatran and a Manaphy egg were traded from Diamond. Deoxys was migrated from FireRed.
With all that said, the first batch will go to HeartGold. If it turns out I can't transfer them to multiple games, and I still have time to play through Guardian Signs again, I'll buy another copy to transfer to Diamond, and then one more for Platinum. Pearl and SoulSilver are already covered.
