Mom asked me to call GameStop to see if they have a spare Nintendo DS this time. They don't, but it doesn't really matter anyway, because I'm gonna need to meet up with Melissa anyway in order to transfer Deoxys to my games.

First thing I hear when I call GameStop, is that they're having a trade-in session where customers can get 40% more credit when they trade in six or more games in one shot. Since I'm gonna be pawning off every one of my games sometime before I die, what better time to sell back a whole bunch of games while they're still as profitable as they'll ever be.

So, that night, Mom drove me to GameStop while she went stopping at Stop 'n' Shop and Savers. There was a bit of a line for me to wait in, but then I managed to trade in the following games:

-Clubhouse Games (DS)
-Contra IV (DS)
-Dark Cloud (PS2)
-Grandia II (PS2)
-Ontamarama (DS)
-Shadow the Hedgehog (PS2)
-Sonic Adventure DX (GCN)
-Sonic Adventure 2: Battle (GCN)

I also tried to sell back Whacked!, but it turns out that they don't accept Xbox games anymore (even though they do accept games for other 6th-gen consoles). Turned out I didn't even have the game disk inside the case (no surprise, considering I didn't go out of my way to hook the console up and extract it).

They don't accept cheating devices either. I had forgotten that my GCN Action Replay had been sitting in one of the Sonic game cases until the clerk opened it. Disk without a case, game case without the game, perfect match!

With that all done, while the store still doesn't have any used copies of Pokemon Ranger: Guardian Signs, there were five used copies of Pokemon Ranger: Shadows of Almia this time. The clerk let me play them to see if there was anything worth transferring to my games. The first four had nothing, but the last one had Manaphy's egg on it and the Darkrai mission still unplayed. That's one more Manaphy egg I could give to Melissa whenever I (hopefully) meet with her, and Darkrai will go to either Diamond or HeartGold. (SoulSilver got one online, Platinum has the Member Card, and there's no point transferring it to Pearl, since I'm hardly gonna be playing that game anymore.)

So, I had enough store credit to pay for that copy of Shadows of Almia, and then some left to pay partially for a second copy of Guardian Signs. I paid the rest of the price for that game in change that I had counted up from my dresser drawer and a jar in the basement, so that means I bought two games without paying a dime out of my bank account.

After I did everything I needed to do, I met Mom right at the entrance to Savers, right when she was leaving. That means it took a lot longer than I thought it would, when I estimated it would only take about five minutes.
