Brian got some memory for the computer to make it run faster, so I owe him $15 sometime soon. I think Marie already paid her share.

I only have ten more chapters left of In the Shadow of Chaos. Chapter 77 was a funny chapter part of the way, but seeing Lillymon as one of the bad guys is such a pity. Who could imagine such a cute girl as her fighting for Chaos Piedmon? I hope she gets cured instead of defeated, but what happens happens. Aside from that, I am feeling remotivated to work towards my digimon fic, to the point that I couldn't fall asleep last night until almost midnight.

Last night, some show called 20/20 came on at 10:00 about how corrupt America's schools are. For one thing, there is no competition, which means the below mediocre schools stay in business just as much as the much better ones. Competition is what keeps companies from falling below customer demands, because then any given company feels the pressure to meet its customers' needs to avoid going out of business. That's what the Industrial Revolution was about, and one thing we need is an Educational Revolution. Of course, the teachers deny this for obvious reasons, and claim that the reason their schools are failing are due to budget problems, but when money comes rolling in, they spend it on gymnasium equipment, swimming pools, or even forts for the administration.

Another major obstacle is the iron-clad contract between teachers and administrators. It is extremely hard to fire teachers because the process is practically an obstacle course. Therefore, they even get away with all kinds of things, such as exchanging sexual emails with students.

(If you've read this, you can certainly tell that Il Palazzo from Excel Saga knows what he's talking about when he says "This world is corrupt.")
