Jake told me, after reading all of Sith Droideka's con-crit, that Sith might only be trying to mock me by writing everything he did about Parasitic Trio. Sith himself even cleared up that what he (or rather, his friend Dusknoir) write was not meant to be an actual prologue, but does claim that he does not mean to insult me.

Instead of burning bridges or ignoring him, I gave him a chance to prove himself honest by actively contributing to the ficseries' development, instead of telling me what would and would not fit. After his making such a big deal over how people can get in legal trouble over sexual harassment, I've also stated outright that laws about it aren't relevant to the ficseries, and if he's gonna be uptight about fondling, he might as well attack the anime (and to an extent, the games) for its complete lack of regard to realistic physics. (For that matter, also for setting everything up so that one kid can do things like thwart terrorist attacks and win matches against people who've been training for years on end, whose Pokemon you'd expect to be well over level 100, all on their very first quest.)

Let's remember that even though I do appreciate critique, I do reserve the right not to follow it. Jake is in a good position to demand certain things, such as that Mewtwo not be captured or that I don't apply the Team Rocket Executives from HGSS, because he has come up with quite a few ideas for stuff to make happen during the story. However, I still have the most say over what happens, and will comply just enough so that I don't drive him away (which I once snapped and did). Sith is welcome to suggest I eliminate certain things, but having contributed very little that isn't what I shouldn't do, is in no position to demand anything. Chelle, with all her knowledge about the Mon Colle Knights, is indispensable when it comes to Monster Collection Chronicles, but her aversion to fanservice (and Pokemon, if I'm guessing correctly) is the very reason I never asked her for ideas. And of course, Zerodius was never even worth communicating with, given how rude he was to me about a few of my (canon-defying) stories and how uptight he is about continuity, so he'd obviously have zero say in the ficseries.

Mom asked me to decorate the tree by myself this year. At first, I told her that I didn't want to cheat Brian and Marie of any of the fun in doing it, but she didn't know when Brian would be coming home, and Marie has to babysit each day. That settled things.

Got around to hanging up most of the ornaments shortly before Mom came home. Mom had already put the bead chains up, and we still have yet to tinsel the tree.

Mom is all done with jury duty. She came home in tears, because a 21-year-old boy was given a life sentence for a robbery in which he conspired with three other people, and which resulted in someone getting killed because one of the conspirators had a gun and he didn't leave or try to stop the one who had it. One of the other conspirators, a prostitute, ratted on the other three, and as for the remaining two (a con artist and another 21-year-old boy), she doesn't know what became or will become of them.

The whole thing was such a shock to her that she decided not to go to her class last night, and also not to go to work today.
