Dec. 23rd, 2010 05:33 amOpened the package containing my Action Replay, tried it out with Pokemon Diamond, and didn't have much luck with it. The only code that worked was for unlimited money, but then again, that was the only code I tried out that requires the player to press L and R, instead of just working by itself. I tried activating such codes as "All Fossils" and "Rare Candies", and they weren't there. Then, when I tried activating one more code on top of the eight I already had, it wouldn't start up. When I turned it off and on again, all its data was wiped out, and it said "Unknown game". This thing didn't even come with the disk or the USB port that these things originally get packaged with, so I wasn't able to reload them. I could enter the game name manually, but the next step says to enter a game ID, and it doesn't let me continue.
I contacted the seller and asked for a refund while offering to return it. After complaining to him, I asked on Bulbagarden Forums to see if I was doing anything wrong, or if it just works differently than, say, the GBA GameShark. Right after I finished writing my post, I checked my email, and the seller had *already* gotten back to me, offering to refund me as soon as he receives the device back. (Wow! I don't remember if anyone actually got back to me within just a few minutes before.)
As for my forum post... Never got an answer, but it's not like it matters now. Mom is going to bring it with her to mail back on her way home from work, and I also bought an Action Replay for the Nintendo DS-i, which was said in the description to be compatible with DS and DS Lite (the latter which I have). The product in question had gotten quite a number of mixed reviews, and I'll have quite a few Ranger games to test it on after I transfer all Pokemon I intend to transfer to Diamond, HeartGold, and Platinum.

Finally called Uncle Robby last night, and asked him to ask Adam to bring his DS with him when we all get together day after Christmas. He told me that he hasn't seen him play that thing in a long time, but he'll still ask.
Dad brought Brian home late last night. I could hear the two of them talking while I was long since asleep, but then I think Brian went out somewhere.
