Dec. 31st, 2010 06:19 amMarie is having Jacob over to spend New Year's with, before he goes back to Boston. He brought a tin of small peanut-butter-and-chocolate snacks, and I had one. They also played this game I've never even heard of, called Shut the Box, along with Boggle.

Had Mom drive me to Starbucks to meet with Melissa last night at 5:30. She gave me several gift cards, and Marie and Jacob also came along for the ride. The two of them, along with Brian, were supposed to go to the mall, but they started to get hungry and waited for me, before just dining at La Marguerita.
Mom suggested I buy Melissa a drink, but she already had bought herself one by the time I got there. For myself, Marie suggested that I get a salted caramel hot chocolate. It was pretty good, especially since they didn't serve it at a scalding temperature as other places I can remember. (Come to think of it, I probably should have asked her what she got. Something that Mom said I should've asked when I went to Friendly's with Brian and Marie.)
So anyway, even though she told me online that she couldn't stay very long due to an earache, we did have quite a conversation while we were there, though probably not as long as half a year ago. First thing's first, I brought up the fact that she was considering moving to Texas next summer, and because of that, we probably wouldn't have much time to play the Pokemon trading card game. She told me that she's actually planning to move away an entire year from now, but she hasn't quite confirmed it. She also told me that the card game is a lot more complicated than she expected it to be, and doesn't know if we'd even be able to play it at all. Also told her about everything involving the Monster Collection Chronicles prologue and the Parasitic Trio outline.
Took care of transferring all my Pokemon as soon as we finished our drinks, and somehow, we ended up playing on eachother's DS's instead of our own. Tried to play the Deoxys mission first, and while we did successfully figure out where we're supposed to access it, we didn't get very far into it because my acquired experience levels don't carry over into the past like I expected them to. (Well, someone at that place did say that the Styler would somewhat malfunction due to time travel.)
The Deoxys failure aside, everything else went smoothly. Got two lucky saves with Darkrai and a Heatran, which were supposed to go to HeartGold and Platinum respectively, but both almost went to Diamond. (Turning off your games during a transfer doesn't corrupt your data, so that's one less thing to worry about.) One of the original Ranger copies I brought didn't have a Manaphy egg on it yet, so it's a good thing there was one by default on Shadows of Almia. (If I had realized too late that they were going to the wrong games, I would've needed to buy yet another copy of Guardian Signs, though I'll probably ask if they have any used copies of that game by then anyway when I go to download Raikou.)
Gave Mom a call to come pick me up, and then continued talking to Melissa about stuff after we finished everything I needed to do. We shared our plans and experiences with the holidays so far. She had Christmas off from work, but has to work on New Year's. I told her I was going to visit Mom's family in New Jersey for that day. Continued to share various stuff, and then went out to meet Mom. I promised Melissa to link to the entry where I wrote about our first time meeting up there.
Since I had brought it up, Mom told me on the way home that Marie suggested I edit part of that entry. I pulled it up, and she pointed out that ending it with "but this...", as in "there are no words to describe it", would make it seem melodramatic. She suggested several lines to add to it, to be more down to earth, and that was it.
Anyway, here's a link:

Upon coming home, I figured out why I wasn't able to get very far in the Odd Temple. Serebii.net has rated that place 3.5 in difficulty and recommended level 25 or higher for it, while giving the Forest Temple a mere 0.5 difficulty rating. Well, clearing the regular temples in the past will sure give me something to do while I'm still waiting for more offers for my BIG Date request, and while GameStop's Raikou event is just half a week away.
-----
Woke up a few times in the middle of the night to copy some Sailor Moon and Lucky Star pics onto my hard drive and create some hair guidelines, for when I make an art request for the characters' hair updone. They're both gonna have the same request, but will actually be requested once the BIG Date request gets taken down five days from now. Reason being, there is potential for animation clips, which I'm gonna offer around 100 bonus points to anyone willing to do, and I'd like to see how many offers I get with what I have in Point Commissioners, in case I get a lot of them.
And then, there's Makeruna! Makendou Z, for which I want even more than just expansions and hair transformations. That will get it's own request afterwards, for that very reason.
